Product Overview
The Extron XTP SR HD 4K is an HDMI scaling receiver for XTP Systems that extends video, audio, bidirectional RS-232/IR, and Ethernet up to 330 feet (100 m) over a single shielded CATx cable. It incorporates Vector 4K scaling (640x480 to 3840x2160), HDCP 2.3, audio de-embedding (S/PDIF and analog stereo), two relays for room control, and WindoWall support for videowall applications. Remote power capability from an XTP CrossPoint matrix switcher eliminates local AC power at the endpoint. Available at Creation Networks.
Product Description
The XTP SR HD 4K is a single-endpoint scaling receiver designed for use with XTP Systems and XTP CrossPoint matrix switchers. It receives HDMI, DVI, RGB, HD component, and standard definition video from XTP transmitters over one shielded CATx cable, then scales and outputs HDMI video at the display's native resolution. Vector 4K scaling delivers best-in-class upscaling and downscaling; scaler bypass mode passes 3D, 4K/60 at 4:2:0, and other high-bandwidth formats unprocessed. WindoWall mode enables videowall applications within XTP Systems — up to eight walls per system with up to eight presets per wall for full-screen, span, or mixed display configurations. EDID Minder and Key Minder manage EDID and HDCP across the system. Audio is de-embedded to S/PDIF and analog stereo, with volume control and muting. RS-232 and IR insertion enables control of a remote display over the same twisted pair cable. Two normally-open relays control room functions (lighting, screens, lifts). - WindoWall Mode — Videowall support within XTP Systems; up to 8 videowalls; up to 8 presets per wall; full-screen, span, or mixed; any aspect ratio up to 8x8.
- Audio De-Embedding — HDMI audio to S/PDIF (coaxial RCA) and balanced/unbalanced analog stereo (3.5 mm captive screw); volume control and muting; multi-channel bitstream and LPCM 7.1 supported on HDMI output.
- Bidirectional RS-232 and IR Insertion — Controls a remote display or AV device over the same CATx cable; shared 3.5 mm captive screw connector.
- Ethernet Pass-Through — 10/100 RJ-45 Ethernet extension to remote Ethernet-enabled devices, reducing independent network drops.
- Two Normally-Open Relays — Controls room functions (projector lifts, screens, lighting); 24 V / 1 A contact rating; shared 3.5 mm, 4-pole captive screw.
- Remote Power from XTP CrossPoint — Powered over the twisted pair cable from a compatible XTP matrix switcher, eliminating local AC power at the endpoint.
