Product Overview
USBC ProMax/25 (25 ft (7.6 m)), part number 26-759-25. The Extron USBC ProMax Series is an active USB-C optical cable that carries video, audio, USB data, and power over a single run. USB data reaches 20 Gbps and power delivery reaches 100 watts, both bidirectional, while DisplayPort Alt Mode video runs unidirectionally at up to 8K. The 25 foot (7.6 m) length covers table-to-rack and lectern-to-credenza runs that exceed what a passive USB-C cable can support. It is the cable to specify when a single USB-C tether has to do everything at a distance.
Product Description
Passive USB-C cables fall apart quickly with distance. Beyond a couple of meters, 20 Gbps data and high resolution video stop being reliable, and the failure mode is intermittent rather than obvious. The USBC ProMax Series uses active optical construction so a 25 foot run performs the same as a short one.
All four signal types travel the one cable. USB data operates at up to 20 Gbps and is bidirectional, as is the 100 watt USB Power Delivery, so the room's camera, microphone bar, and touch display all reach the laptop while the laptop charges. DisplayPort audio and video are unidirectional, running DisplayPort Alt Mode at DP 1.4 with HBR3 at 8.1 Gbps per lane and MST support, for a maximum video data rate of 32.4 Gbps.
Resolution support covers 7680x4320 at 30 Hz with 4:4:4 and 8-bit color, 4096x2160 at 60 Hz with 4:4:4 and 12-bit, and 3840x2160 at 120 Hz at 8-bit. HDCP 2.3 is supported for protected content paths. Four-lane HBR3 operation runs at 32.4 Gbps and two-lane at 16.2 Gbps depending on the source's lane configuration.
The 25 foot length fills a gap in a family Creation Networks already stocks at 12, 15, and 30 feet. It suits the common case where the rack is across the room rather than under the table, or where a lectern connection has to reach a credenza on the opposite wall without stepping up to the 30 foot part.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why use an active optical cable instead of a standard USB-C cable?
Passive USB-C cable cannot sustain 20 Gbps data and high resolution video much beyond two meters. At 25 feet, active optical construction is required for reliable operation, and the failure mode of an undersized passive cable is intermittent rather than obvious, which makes it expensive to diagnose after the room is closed up.
Is the cable directional?
Partly. USB data and power are bidirectional. DisplayPort audio and video are unidirectional, so the cable must be installed with the source end at the source. Check the connector marking during installation.
Will 100 watts charge any laptop?
100 watts covers the large majority of business laptops. High-draw mobile workstations under sustained heavy load may charge more slowly, which is expected USB-C behavior rather than a cable fault.
What resolutions does it support?
Up to 8K at 30 Hz with 4:4:4 and 8-bit color, 4K at 60 Hz with 4:4:4 and 12-bit, and 4K at 120 Hz at 8-bit. Maximum video data rate is 32.4 Gbps on four-lane HBR3.
What other lengths are available?
Creation Networks stocks the USBC ProMax Series in 12 ft, 15 ft, 25 ft, and 30 ft. Select the shortest length that reaches, since excess cable in a furniture cavity is a service problem later.
Does it work with docking stations and MST hubs?
It supports DisplayPort 1.4 with MST. Confirm the specific dock or hub against your source laptop's lane configuration, since two-lane operation halves available video bandwidth.
Is project pricing available?
Yes. Contact us for quantity pricing on multi-room standardization, where cable is usually ordered by the dozen rather than individually.
