The Extron SMP 111 is a single-channel H.264 recording and streaming media processor for capturing and distributing AV presentations as live streams and on-demand recordings. Product Description

The SMP 111 captures HDMI video and embedded or analog audio and outputs H.264-encoded streams via RTSP, RTMP, RTP, or HLS transport protocols. Recording and streaming are independent — each can be configured with its own resolution (512x288 through 1920x1080) and bit rate, allowing simultaneous 1080p recording to local storage and a lower-bandwidth stream for distribution. Recordings are saved in MP4 or M4V format to internal solid state storage, USB drives connected at the front or rear panel, or a defined network storage directory. The SMP 111 enriches recordings with embedded metadata (title, creator, subject, date), JPEG thumbnail captures at user-defined intervals, and chapter marks settable during live sessions for fast navigation during playback. Extron scaling adapts source signals of varying resolutions for consistent output quality. The unit is configured and controlled via a web browser over Ethernet or via RS-232 serial connection.
