Product Overview
The Extron MGP 641 xi 5K SDI is a four-window multi-window processor that scales and presents up to four 5K HDMI or 12G-SDI source signals on a single display — including ultra-wide 21:9 and 32:9 ratios. It features Vector 4K scaling, a live HDMI background input, simultaneous HDMI and DTP3 outputs (up to 330 ft over CAT 6A), 128 window presets, and optional on-screen annotation via LinkLicense. Product Description
The MGP 641 xi 5K SDI provides four independently selectable input channels — each with both an HDMI and a 12G-SDI connection — plus a dedicated HDMI live background input. All four windows can be displayed simultaneously over a live video, still image, or solid color background. Signals up to 5120x2880 (5K) are supported on HDMI inputs; 12G-SDI inputs handle 12G, 6G, 3G, HD, and SD-SDI signals up to 4K/60 at 4:2:2. The HDMI output supports resolutions up to 5120x2880; the DTP3 output extends uncompressed 4K/60 and 5K signals up to 330 feet over a single shielded CAT 6A cable and is configurable for DTP3, XTP, or HDBaseT. Up to four units can cascade via the HDMI background input for up to 16 windows on a single canvas. Auto-layout mode automatically reconfigures windows based on active inputs. EDID Minder manages EDID communication across all inputs. Optional LinkLicense adds live annotation over video. Available at Creation Networks.

- Vector 4K Scaling Engine — 30-bit, 10-bit per color; 600 MHz pixel clock; best-in-class upscaling and downscaling for 4:4:4 signals.
- Ultra-Wide Display Support — Output resolutions include 5120x1080, 5120x1440, 5120x2160, 5120x2560, and 5120x2880 for 21:9 and 32:9 displays.
- 128 Window Presets — Store and recall size, position, priority, and border style for all four windows; cut or animated transitions between presets.
- Auto-Layout Mode — Automatically arranges windows in full screen, side-by-side, pyramid, or quad-split based on active input signals.
- Cascade up to Four Units — Link via HDMI background input for up to 16 windows on a single display canvas.
- Optional Live Annotation (LinkLicense) — Draw, point, and annotate over live video using a touchscreen or mouse; capture and save annotated images to USB flash drive.
- Logo Keying — Up to 32 logo images (BMP, JPG, PNG, TIFF) with transparency, RGB key, and level key effects.
- Integrated Audio — De-embeds 2-ch PCM to balanced/unbalanced analog output; passes multi-channel bitstream; SDI embedded audio (up to 8 ch) supported on SDI model.
