Product Overview
The Extron IN1804 is a compact four-input 4K/60 scaler supporting signal resolutions up to 4K/60 at 4:4:4. It uses Extron-patented Vector 4K scaling for high-precision up- and downscaling, accepts DisplayPort and HDMI inputs, and offers optional DTP2 extension of 4K/60 video, audio, and control up to 330 feet over shielded CATx cable. Product Description
The IN1804 handles four source inputs — DisplayPort and HDMI — and scales any input to a consistent 4K/60 at 4:4:4 output for connected displays or DTP2 receivers. Vector 4K scaling uses 30-bit precision processing algorithms developed by Extron to deliver accurate scaling of SD, HD, and 4K signals without losing image detail, including downscaling of 4K sources for lower-resolution displays. Switching transitions include freeze/fade, cut-through-black, and fade-through-black. A logo keying feature allows a custom graphic such as a company logo to be inserted over video output. Aspect ratio control offers FILL (full screen) and FOLLOW (preserve source aspect ratio) modes. Audio embedding and de-embedding are supported. Available DTP2-equipped models — IN1804 DI, IN1804 DO, and IN1804 DI/DO — add twisted-pair input and/or output connectivity for signal extension to and from remote locations. The IN1804 is controlled via Ethernet, RS-232, USB, or contact closure with tally output.
