HD 8K/6 (6 ft (1.8 m)), part number 26-743-06. Extron HD 8K cables are 48 Gbps ultra high speed HDMI cables built for commercial AV systems running 8K and high frame rate formats. They transmit HDMI video and audio at resolutions up to 8K/60 and support 4K/120, dynamic HDR, eARC, and immersive audio formats including Dolby Atmos and DTS:X. EDID, HDCP, CEC, HEC, and eARC all pass through, so downstream negotiation behaves as designed. The cables are certified for use with Extron AVEdge, Cable Cubby, and HSA Hideaway surface access enclosures.
Product Description
HDMI cable is where 8K system designs quietly fail. A cable that carries 4K/60 without complaint will produce sparkles, dropouts, or a black screen at 48 Gbps, and the fault is difficult to isolate once the room is closed up. The HD 8K series is specified to the full ultra high speed data rate so the cable is not the variable in commissioning.
Signal support covers up to HDMI 2.1 with HDCP 1.4 and HDCP 2.3, at data rates to 48.1 Gbps. That accommodates 7680x4320 at 60 Hz with 4:2:0 chroma and 12-bit color, 4:4:4 at 30 Hz, and 5120x2880 at 60 Hz with 4:4:4 and 12-bit for 5K formats. High frame rate operation reaches 3840x2160 at 120 Hz, relevant for esports, simulation, and sports analysis rooms.
Audio and control pass-through are complete: PCM 8-channel, DTS-HD Master Audio, DTS:X, Dolby TrueHD, and Dolby Atmos are supported, along with EDID, HDCP, CEC, HEC, and eARC. Enhanced gaming features including QMS, VRR, ALLM, and QFT are compatible, which matters for gaming and simulation spaces where frame pacing is part of the requirement.
For furniture and lectern installations, the cables are certified for use with Extron AVEdge, Cable Cubby, and HSA Hideaway surface access enclosures, so the bend radius and connector profile work inside the enclosure rather than fighting the lid. Available in 6 foot (1.8 m) and 9 foot (2.7 m) lengths for table, rack, and display-adjacent runs.
