The DTP2 R 211 is the display-end component in an Extron DTP2 signal extension system, receiving the full HDMI 2.0b signal — including HDR, Deep Color up to 12-bit, HD lossless audio formats, and CEC pass-through — over a single shielded twisted pair cable run. HDCP 2.3 compliance maintains content protection interoperability with all earlier HDCP versions, and HDCP Visual Confirmation outputs a full-screen green signal if protected content is received by a non-compliant display. EDID Minder continuously maintains DDC communication between the source and display across the extension link to prevent signal handshake failures on power-up or input switch. Bidirectional RS-232 and IR pass-through allow a control system to reach and operate display devices over the same cable, eliminating a separate control cable run. The DTP2 R 211 can be remotely powered by a DTP2-enabled source product over the twisted pair connection, and it can also be configured to power a connected DTP2 transmitter — allowing both endpoints to share a single power supply.
