DisplayPort Single Stream Transport (SST) at up to 10.8 Gbps handles 4K/60 at 4:2:0 and 4K/30 at 4:4:4, as well as computer resolutions up to 2560x1600 for wide-format display applications. An independent 3.5mm stereo mini jack accepts analog audio for simultaneous transmission over the same shielded twisted pair cable, eliminating a separate audio run from the source location. Bidirectional RS-232 and IR pass-through allow a control system to reach and operate remote display devices or source equipment through the same cable. The DTP output is configured to send video, embedded audio, and control to HDBaseT-enabled displays, allowing this transmitter to feed a broad range of display types in addition to dedicated Extron DTP receivers.
