Product Overview
The Epson ELPLL08 long-throw projector zoom lens is an interchangeable lens engineered for rear-of-room and long-distance projection on Epson Pro Series large-venue projectors. With a 7.21–10.11:1 throw ratio on up-to-9,000-lumen models and 5.27–7.41:1 on 9,000- to 20,000-lumen models, this Epson long-throw lens (V12H004L08) places a projector far from the screen while still filling surfaces up to 1000". It is the integrator's choice for deep auditoriums, projection booths, and long stadium or arena throws.
Product Description
The ELPLL08 is built for the longest practical throw distances in Epson's interchangeable-lens system. On projectors up to 8,500 lumens the throw ratio runs 7.21 to 10.11, while on 9,000- to 20,000-lumen models it runs 5.27 to 7.41, supporting large screens from a projection booth or the back of a deep room. Screen support extends up to 1000", which is what makes this lens suitable for arenas, large auditoriums, and rear-projection halls where the chassis cannot be placed near the screen. As an interchangeable long-throw optic it mounts on the same Pro G7000 and Pro L Series chassis that accept Epson's wide, standard, and middle-throw lenses, letting an integrator dedicate one projector position and select the lens that reaches the screen. It is compatible with Epson EB-G7200W, EB-G7400U, EB-G7900U, EB-G7905U, EB-L1100U, EB-L1200U, EB-L1300U, and EB-L1405U projectors. For current large-venue laser bodies, review the Epson EB-PU2010B and the Epson Pro L30000UNL, or browse the full Epson projector lineup to confirm fitment. The lens ships separately from the projector.
Key Features
- Long-throw geometry — A 7.21–10.11:1 throw ratio (up to 9,000-lumen models) places the projector far from the screen.
- High-lumen throw range — A 5.27–7.41:1 throw ratio covers 9,000- to 20,000-lumen Pro Series projectors.
- Very large screen support — Fills screens up to 1000" for arenas and deep auditoriums.
- Rear-of-room projection — Designed for projection booths and back-wall mounting positions.
- Interchangeable mount — Swaps onto the same Pro G7000 and Pro L chassis as Epson's other Pro Series lenses.

FAQ
Which Epson projectors does the ELPLL08 fit?
It fits Epson EB-G7200W, EB-G7400U, EB-G7900U, EB-G7905U, EB-L1100U, EB-L1200U, EB-L1300U, and EB-L1405U projectors. Confirm your exact model against Epson's compatibility list before ordering.
How far does the projector sit from the screen?
This is a long-throw lens. On up-to-9,000-lumen models the throw ratio is 7.21 to 10.11:1, so a 10-foot-wide image needs roughly 72 to 101 feet of throw. On 9,000- to 20,000-lumen models the 5.27 to 7.41:1 range shortens that distance. Use Epson's throw calculator for an exact figure.
What is the largest screen this lens supports?
It supports screen sizes up to 1000" on compatible projectors, subject to projector brightness and room conditions.
Is the zoom powered?
The lens is a zoom optic operated through the projector's lens controls; powered lens functions depend on the host projector model.
Why are there two throw ratio ranges?
The throw ratio differs by projector brightness class because the higher-lumen models use a different imaging panel, which changes the effective throw for the same lens.
Is this lens right for a large arena?
Yes. Its long throw and 1000" screen support make it well suited to arenas, stadiums, and deep auditoriums where the projector is far from the screen.
Is the projector included?
No. The lens is sold separately from the projector body.
