This Epiphan Pearl-2 4K feature add-on activates the full 4K workflow on an existing Pearl-2 Base video mixer (sold separately). Once licensed, the Pearl-2 can encode and stream a 4K program comprised of up to two 4K and two HD or IP camera inputs, drive 4K output ports, and optionally downscale UHD 4K to 1080p for delivery. The license also supports cropping a single 4K view into several 1080p or 720p regions, letting operators switch between virtual cameras directly in the Pearl-2 switcher interface.
The add-on is intended for integrators and AV teams that deployed Pearl-2 Base hardware before 4K became a standard feature and now need ultra-high-definition capture, recording, and streaming.
