Handheld gaming consoles like the Steam Deck and ROG Ally are increasingly used beyond casual gaming, and the U442-DOCKSD-1 extends their usefulness with a docking station that adds desktop-class connectivity. Insert the console into the dock's cradle, connect the built-in USB-C cable to the handheld's USB-C port, and the console gains access to a large-screen display, keyboard and mouse input, external storage, wired networking, and fast charging. The HDMI port supports Ultra HD 4K resolutions up to 3840 x 2160 at 60 Hz with 36-bit Deep Color, and includes support for HDR for a wider range of vibrant colors with richer contrast. The dock also supports uncompressed 4:4:4 chroma subsampling for top-level image quality on a connected monitor. A Power Delivery (PD) port outputs up to 20V 5A (100W), which is sufficient for rapidly charging a Steam Deck or ROG Ally when it's not in active use; a user-provided USB-C PD charging cable and compatible charger are required.
