Product Overview
The Eaton PDUMH15ATS is a 1.44kW single-phase automatic transfer switch (ATS) PDU with local metering, built to keep rack-mounted equipment powered when a primary source fails. Designed for network IT applications, small computer rooms, and equipment rack deployments, it uses dual 12-ft. power cords with NEMA 5-15P inputs to draw from separate primary and secondary sources, switching between them in milliseconds. Eight NEMA 5-15R outlets and a built-in digital ammeter give integrators dependable, monitored power in a 1U rack footprint.
Product Description
Redundant power feeds only protect equipment if the transfer between them happens fast enough to avoid a reboot, and the PDUMH15ATS is built around that requirement. Its onboard ATS processor continuously evaluates the power quality of both connected sources and switches from primary to secondary within 2-7 milliseconds if the primary becomes unstable or fails, while also preventing an unnecessary switch if the secondary source is unavailable or of lower quality. Dual 12-foot (3.7-meter) cords with NEMA 5-15P inputs let the unit connect to separate primary and secondary mains circuits, backup generators, UPS systems, or utility power, including out-of-phase sources, which is useful in facilities with mixed backup power infrastructure. Eight NEMA 5-15R 120V outlets provide connection points for servers, switches, and other rack-mounted equipment, and a digital ammeter reports the total load for all connected equipment so staff can confirm the rack is operating safely below capacity, even as new gear is added over time. The all-metal housing mounts into 1U of a standard 19-inch rack, or alternatively to a wall or under a counter using the included hardware. As a TAA-compliant unit, the PDUMH15ATS is also eligible for GSA Schedule and other federal procurement contracts, making it a fit for government and other TAA-restricted deployments. This PDU is best suited to network IT rooms, small computer rooms, and rack applications where automatic failover and load monitoring both matter.

Key Features
- Automatic Transfer Switching (ATS) — The PDU switches from primary to secondary power in 2-7 milliseconds to keep connected equipment running without interruption.
- Dual 12-ft. Power Cords — Separate NEMA 5-15P input cords connect to independent primary and secondary sources, including out-of-phase power.
- Digital Load Ammeter — Continuous total load reporting helps prevent costly overloads as equipment is added.
- 8 NEMA 5-15R Outlets — Standard receptacles support common server, switch, and networking equipment cords.
- 1U Rack or Wall Mount — All-metal housing installs into 1U of standard 19-inch rack space or mounts to a wall or under a counter.
- TAA Compliance — Compliance with the Trade Agreements Act makes the unit eligible for GSA Schedule and other federal procurement contracts.
