Product Description
Isobar surge protectors have been used by IT and AV integrators for decades to protect sensitive computer, networking, and telecom equipment from surge and noise events. The ISOBAR4/220 packages the same isolated filter bank architecture into a compact, near-indestructible metal case, providing a 330-joule surge protection rating along with sine-wave-tracking suppression circuits designed to exceed IEEE 587 Category A and B specifications. Each isolated filter bank on the unit prevents electrical noise generated by one piece of equipment — such as a switching power supply or motorized device — from being conducted to other outlets on the strip, which reduces interference on sensitive AV signal chains. The 6-foot cord with a right-angle plug helps with cable management behind racks and credenzas where clearance is tight. This unit is intended for facilities and equipment operating on 230V power, making it relevant for AV racks in international deployments or 230V-equipped commercial buildings that need surge protection for network switches, amplifiers, and control equipment.
