Product Overview
The Dynacord IX15:4 is a 4-channel networked DSP amplifier delivering 1.5 kW of total output power for fixed commercial AV installations that combine distributed audio and foreground sound. Built on powerTANK technology, this rack-mount amplifier drives both high-Z (70V/100V) and low-Z loudspeaker loads, making it a practical core for multi-zone networked audio. With 8x8 Dante and OMNEO (Dante audio plus OCA/AES70 control), the IX15:4 integrates directly into managed AV networks for centralized monitoring and control. It suits integrators standardizing on a single 96 kHz DSP amplifier platform across diverse room types.
Product Description
The IX15:4 occupies a single rack unit and combines four amplifier channels with a fully featured 96 kHz DSP engine, so signal routing, equalization, dynamics, and loudspeaker tuning are handled inside one device. Its 12 x 12 matrix mixer, FIR-Drive speaker processing, and Dynacord FX let a system designer build complete signal chains without external processors. Four mic/line inputs accept local sources directly or serve as Dante break-in points, while eight Dante inputs and eight Dante outputs carry networked audio across the install. The MXE-style TaskEngine adds system logic, scheduling, and automation for integration with third-party control. ghostPOWER over PoE keeps the DSP, Dante network, and mic/line inputs active independent of mains power, which protects paging and monitoring during AC interruptions. ecoRAIL energy management reduces operating cost in always-on deployments. The amplifier drives high-Z distributed lines and low-Z point-source or array loudspeakers, so a single unit can serve both background zones and a primary speech-reinforcement system. The IX15:4 is configured and controlled in SONICUE Sound System Software and can act as a SONICUE control server for WPN1 wall panels, the TPC-1 touch panel, and iOS or Windows devices. Integrators evaluating the broader Dynacord lineup can compare options across the Dynacord collection, and reference the higher-power two-channel Dynacord C3600FDi for large-format low-Z requirements.
Key Features
- 1.5 kW powerTANK output — Delivers 1.5 kW of total power across four channels for mixed high-Z and low-Z loudspeaker systems in one chassis.
- 8x8 Dante networking — Provides eight Dante inputs and eight Dante outputs for distributed audio transport across a managed AV network.
- OMNEO with OCA/AES70 — Combines Dante audio with standards-based OCA/AES70 remote control for monitoring and configuration over IP.
- 96 kHz DSP with matrix mixer — Runs a 12 x 12 matrix mixer with EQ, dynamics, FIR-Drive, and Dynacord FX so external processing is not required.
- High-Z and low-Z operation — Drives 70V and 100V distributed lines as well as low-impedance loudspeakers, covering background and foreground zones together.
- MXE-style TaskEngine — Adds scheduling, automation, and system logic for integration with third-party control systems.
- ghostPOWER over PoE — Maintains the DSP, Dante network, and mic/line inputs during mains loss using IEEE 802.3af PoE on the primary port.
- SONICUE control server — Configured in SONICUE and able to serve WPN1 wall panels, the TPC-1 touch panel, and iOS or Windows clients.
- 1U rack-mount chassis — Fits a single rack unit with front-to-rear temperature-controlled cooling for dense equipment racks.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does the IX15:4 support Dante and OMNEO for AV system integration?
Yes. The IX15:4 provides 8x8 Dante audio transport and OMNEO with OCA/AES70 control, so it integrates into managed Dante networks for both audio routing and IP-based monitoring and configuration.
Can it drive both 70V/100V distributed lines and low-Z loudspeakers?
Yes. powerTANK technology allows each channel to operate in high-Z (70V/100V) Direct Drive mode or low-Z mode, so one amplifier can serve distributed background zones and foreground speech reinforcement.
How is the amplifier configured and controlled?
The IX15:4 is configured in Dynacord SONICUE Sound System Software and can serve as a SONICUE control server for WPN1 wall panels, the TPC-1 touch panel, and iOS or Windows devices.
What happens to the system during a mains power interruption?
ghostPOWER over PoE keeps the DSP, Dante network, and mic/line inputs active independent of mains power, which preserves signal presence and network connectivity during AC loss.
What rack space does it require?
The IX15:4 is a 1U rack-mount unit measuring 483 x 44.1 x 447 mm with front-to-rear forced-air cooling suitable for installation in standard equipment racks.
What inputs are available for local sources?
It has four mic/line inputs on Euroblock connectors with 0 to 60 dB gain and switchable +48 V phantom power, and these can also serve as Dante break-in points to the network.
