The DBX RTA-M is an omnidirectional measurement microphone designed for use with real-time analysis (RTA) software and audio processors including the dbx DriveRack series, enabling accurate acoustic measurement and system optimization in live sound, installed AV, and studio monitor calibration applications. Its flat frequency response across 20Hz-20kHz and standard phantom power operation make it compatible with any mixing console or audio interface that provides 9-52V DC phantom power.
Product Description
Accurate room and system measurement requires a microphone with a known, predictable response, and the DBX RTA-M delivers exactly that. The back-electret condenser capsule with omnidirectional polar pattern captures all frequencies from all directions simultaneously, providing the 360-degree acoustic sampling that RTA and FFT analysis software requires. The omnidirectional pattern ensures that room reflections and summed acoustic energy are captured accurately, rather than just the direct signal axis. The 250 Ohm impedance and -63dB sensitivity are optimized for the input stages of dbx DriveRack processors, though the RTA-M is compatible with any preamp that provides phantom power between 9V and 52V DC.
