Product Overview
The Da-Lite 24708LS Tensioned Advantage Electrol is a ceiling-recessed motorized projection screen with a 65" x 116" (133" diagonal) HDTV viewing area and an HD Progressive 1.3 surface. The HD Progressive 1.3 surface at gain 1.3 concentrates reflected brightness toward the primary viewing axis, making it the correct choice for longer-throw projector installations or lower-lumen projectors where maximizing on-axis brightness is a priority. The TruGuide tensioning system maintains a flat, wave-free surface. This model includes a low-voltage switch.

Product Description
The Da-Lite 24708LS provides a 133" diagonal ceiling-recessed Da-Lite electric projection screen for commercial AV installations where projector brightness needs to be maximized toward the seated viewer area. The 65" x 116" HDTV format image is compatible with all 16:9 HD and UHD projector outputs. The HD Progressive 1.3 surface at gain 1.3 reflects more light toward viewers within the primary viewing cone than a standard 1.0 or 1.1 gain surface, making this surface useful in installations with longer projector throws or budget projectors with lower lumen ratings. The narrower viewing cone is acceptable for conference rooms and boardrooms with seating concentrated directly in front of the screen. The TruGuide tensioning system maintains consistent lateral tension across the screen material, eliminating waves and preserving edge-to-edge sharpness for 4K content. The ceiling-recessed steel housing includes a closure door. The LS version ships with a low-voltage switch. Dry contact trigger supports integration with all major commercial AV control systems.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What is the tradeoff of a gain 1.3 surface compared to gain 1.0 or 1.1?
A: Higher gain surfaces focus reflected light toward the primary viewing axis, increasing on-axis brightness. The tradeoff is a narrower viewing cone. Gain 1.3 is appropriate when seating is concentrated directly in front of the screen rather than spread at wide angles.
Q: Is this surface suitable for ambient light environments?
A: The HD Progressive 1.3 is a matte white surface and performs best in rooms with controlled lighting. For high ambient light, the HD Progressive 0.6 Contrast surface is a better choice.
Q: Can this screen be used with laser projectors?
A: Yes. The HD Progressive 1.3 surface is compatible with laser, DLP, LCD, and LCoS projector technologies.
Q: What control system can operate this screen?
A: The low-voltage motor accepts a dry contact trigger compatible with Crestron, AMX, Extron, and other commercial AV control systems.
Q: Does this model include a remote?
A: Yes. IR and RF remotes are included for direct operation independent of any control system.
