The Crestron SPKA-NCTP-IC611 is a pack of ten collared metal new-construction templates for Crestron Saros 6.5-inch in-ceiling speakers. The templates are attached to ceiling framing before drywall installation to mark the speaker cutout location, with the collar allowing drywall compound application for a finished ceiling appearance around the opening.

In new construction projects, in-ceiling speakers must be positioned and blocked before drywall is installed. The SPKA-NCTP-IC611 collared template is fastened to framing studs or blocking within the allowed joist spacing range of 13 to 26 inches on-center. Unlike the flat version (IC610), the collared design protrudes above the drywall plane, allowing compound to be applied to the collar and finish flush before the speaker is installed. - No. The SPKA-NCTP-IC611 is designed for the Saros 6.5-inch series. Use SPKA-NCTP-IC810 (flat) or IC811 (collared) for 8-inch Saros speakers, and the corresponding 4-inch template for IC4T/ICE4T speakers.
- Can these templates be used in retrofit installations?
- No. New-construction templates are designed for installation on ceiling framing before drywall. For retrofit in-ceiling speaker installations, the speaker is cut in directly after the drywall is already finished.
