Product Overview
The Crestron Saros ICE8T-W-T is a value-oriented 8-inch 2-way in-ceiling speaker built for paging, speech reinforcement, and background music in cost-sensitive commercial installations. This Crestron Saros Express in-ceiling speaker combines an 8-inch woofer and horn-loaded dome tweeter with a built-in 70V/100V transformer for distributed audio systems. Its plenum-rated metal back can and tool-free zero-bezel grille suit retail, offices, and houses of worship. The white textured grille is paintable to blend into the ceiling.
Product Description
The Saros Express ICE8T uses an 8-inch treated-paper woofer with a ring-mode-decoupled cloth surround and a horn-loaded 0.98-inch treated cloth dome tweeter, crossed over at 2.5 kHz for full, even coverage across a 95-degree conical pattern. Power handling is 75 Watts program at 8 Ohms, with a frequency response of 70 Hz to 20 kHz. The built-in 60-Watt multi-tap transformer provides 70V taps of 7.5W through 60W and 100V taps of 15W through 60W, or an 8-Ohm bypass for low-impedance systems.
Installation uses four integral two-step toggle clamps for surfaces up to 2.4 inches thick, an 11-5/16 inch recommended cutout, and an included tile bridge for drop-tile ceilings. The plenum-rated zinc-plated steel back can with top and side conduit knockouts meets the requirements for environmental air-handling spaces, and the magnetically held frameless grille installs without tools and includes a safety tether. The ICE8T is priced individually but must be ordered in multiples of two.
