Product Overview
The Crestron TST-902-DSW-WMKM is a postconstruction wall mount kit that provides a solution for installing the TST-902-DSW and TST-1080-DSW wall docks into an existing framed wall or similar flat surface. It includes a mud ring to compensate for imperfections in the drywall cutout. The kit consists of a metal mounting plate and mud ring. It is intended for finished walls where the cavity is no longer open.
Product Description
The TST-902-DSW-WMKM is designed for retrofit installations of a TST-902-DSW or TST-1080-DSW wall dock into drywall that is already in place. Unlike the preconstruction back box, this kit installs from the face of a finished wall, making it suited to renovations and applications where the dock is added after construction is complete. The included mud ring sits behind the drywall and is finished into the wall, hiding minor imperfections around the cutout edge for a clean appearance.
The kit is optimized for 5/8 in. (15 mm) drywall and also supports drywall between 1/2 in. (13 mm) and 1 in. (25 mm) thick. The mud ring's flanges bend behind the drywall to secure it, while four tapped holes on the front accept the TST-902-DSW mounting screws. Because the wall dock contains moving parts, Crestron recommends mounting to a wall stud for additional support. A trim-ring version (TST-902-DSW-WMKT) is also available.
