Product Overview
The MC4-R-TSR-B Package Kit pairs the Crestron 4-Series® control processor with the TSR-310-B handheld wireless touch screen remote in a single, factory-bundled purchase. This kit provides everything needed to deploy a Crestron Home® OS residential automation system, delivering centralized control over AV, lighting, shading, HVAC, and security from a single, intuitive handheld device.
Product Description
The MC4-R is the designated control processor for Crestron Home OS, Crestron’s dedicated residential automation platform. It connects to the home network via Ethernet, communicates with Crestron Home–compatible devices throughout the property, and runs the logic that ties every system together. The MC4-R supports Power over Ethernet (PoE) and integrates directly with the full ecosystem of Crestron Home–compatible drivers and devices.
Included in the kit is the TSR-310-B handheld touch screen remote in black. The TSR-310 connects to the system via Wi-Fi, features a 3.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display, and operates from a built-in rechargeable battery. It gives homeowners a dedicated, always-ready physical remote for whole-home control without requiring a wall-mounted touchscreen or a mobile device.
For residential AV integrators, the MC4-R-TSR-B kit eliminates the need to source and price the processor and remote separately. The bundle represents the typical starting point for a Crestron Home OS installation and is priced accordingly at $2,680.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Is this kit sufficient to start a Crestron Home OS installation?
- Yes. The MC4-R processor and TSR-310-B remote are the core components required to begin a Crestron Home OS deployment. Additional Crestron Home–compatible devices—dimmers, shades, thermostats, and AV equipment—can be added to expand the system.
- Does the TSR-310-B require a separate charging cradle?
- The TSR-310-B includes a rechargeable battery. A charging cradle or cable is sold separately; confirm accessory compatibility with your Crestron distributor.
- Can the MC4-R control non-Crestron devices?
- The MC4-R operates within the Crestron Home OS ecosystem. Third-party device compatibility depends on available Crestron Home–certified drivers for those devices.
- Is programming required for this system?
- Crestron Home OS uses a configuration-based setup approach rather than traditional Crestron programming. Installation is completed by a Crestron Home–certified dealer using the Crestron Home setup application.
- What network infrastructure is required?
- The MC4-R requires a wired Ethernet connection. The TSR-310-B remote connects via the home’s Wi-Fi network. A reliable, professionally installed network is strongly recommended for optimal performance.
