Product Overview
The Crestron HZ2-KPEX-W is a Horizon 2 in-wall programmable keypad with infiNET EX wireless communication in a White textured finish. It provides nine fully programmable push buttons for scene, source, and system control within a Crestron automation environment, paired with HZ2 dimmer or switch devices for any associated load control.
Product Description
The HZ2-KPEX-W is the standard white textured variant of the infiNET EX keypad in the HZ2 series. It communicates wirelessly over the infiNET EX 2.4 GHz mesh network and requires 120 VAC line and neutral at the wall box. An airgap switch is included on the bottom of the device. The nine push buttons are programmable through the Crestron control system, and the Remote terminal accepts a traveler wire from HZ2-AUX or other HZ2-KPEX devices for wired multi-location control in parallel with the wireless integration. A compatible infiNET EX gateway (sold separately) is required. The textured white finish includes a faceplate. For ordering, visit creationnetworks.net.

- Does the HZ2-KPEX-W control a load directly?
- No. The HZ2-KPEX is a keypad only. It must be paired with a HZ2-DIMEX, HZ2-DIMUEX, HZ2-DIMLVEX, or HZ2-SWEX device for load control — either via the traveler wire Remote terminal or wirelessly through the Crestron system.
- Is a faceplate included with the White finish?
- Yes. The White textured finish variant includes a faceplate. Metal and glass finish variants require a separately purchased HZ2-FP-G faceplate.
- How does the HZ2-KPEX-W differ from the HZ2-KPCN-W?
- The KPEX-W uses infiNET EX wireless communication and requires 120 VAC at the box. The KPCN-W uses Cresnet wired communication, is powered by the bus, and requires no line voltage. The KPCN also includes analog/digital input ports and is much shallower (0.64 in. vs. 1.75 in.).
