Product Overview
The Crestron HZ2-KPCN-GLASS-B is a Horizon 2 in-wall wired Cresnet keypad with nine programmable push buttons, Black Glass finish, and custom laser engraving. It communicates over the Cresnet wired bus, drawing all power from the bus without requiring line voltage or neutral wire at the box.
Product Description
Identical in electrical specification to the HZ2-KPCN-DRK-BRZ, this variant uses a high-gloss Black Glass finish with custom-etched button artwork provided at time of order. The ENGRAVED designation requires engraving files submitted via Impress SW, the Crestron Home app, D3Pro, or Crestron Home OS Configurator before production. Dual 4-pin Cresnet terminal blocks support daisy-chain wiring, and two digital/analog input ports enable sensor integration at the keypad location. No airgap switch is included. - When must I submit engraving files?
- Engraving artwork must be provided at time of order via Impress SW, Crestron Home app, D3Pro, or CHO Configurator. This is a made-to-order product and cannot be changed after production.
- Does this keypad require line voltage wiring?
- No. The HZ2-KPCN is powered entirely by the Cresnet bus at 2 W / 83 mA. Only the Cresnet cable (24V, Y, Z, G) needs to be run to the box — no line voltage or neutral is needed.
- How is this different from the infiNET EX (KPEX) Black Glass keypad?
- The HZ2-KPCN-GLASS-B uses Cresnet wired communication and is significantly shallower (0.71 in. vs. 1.89 in. for the KPEX Glass variant), making it suitable for shallow wall boxes. It also includes analog/digital input ports and does not require a gateway or line voltage at the box.
