Product Overview
The Crestron HZ2-DIMLVEX-DRK-BRZ is a Horizon 2 in-wall 0-10V dimmer with infiNET EX wireless communication, finished in Dark Bronze metal. It controls 0-10 VDC-compatible LED drivers and ballasts, delivering wireless dimming over the infiNET EX 2.4 GHz mesh network without requiring a dedicated control wire to the Crestron processor.
Product Description
The HZ2-DIMLVEX-DRK-BRZ mounts in a standard 1- to 4-gang U.S. electrical box (3.5 in. depth recommended) and requires a neutral wire. It includes a 10 A load switching relay and separate 0-10 VDC dim control outputs (DIM+ purple, DIM- pink flying leads) with 60 mA sink/source capability. The nine push buttons are backlit by five RGB LEDs with 13 local color themes and Tunable White 2000K–8000K. The built-in photosensor automatically dims the backlight based on ambient light. Up to four companion HZ2-AUX or HZ2-KPEX devices can be wired via the Remote terminal for 3-/4-way circuit configurations. An HZ2-FP-G faceplate (sold separately) is required. - What types of loads can the HZ2-DIMLVEX-DRK-BRZ control?
- This dimmer is designed specifically for 0-10 VDC controlled LED drivers and fluorescent ballasts. It is not suitable for directly dimming incandescent, magnetic low voltage, or electronic low voltage loads; for those, use the HZ2-DIMUEX (universal dimmer) or HZ2-DIMEX (forward-phase dimmer).
- Is a neutral wire required?
- Yes. The HZ2-DIMLVEX-DRK-BRZ requires a neutral wire at the electrical box. It cannot be installed in a 2-wire configuration without neutral.
- Can this dimmer be used in multi-location configurations?
- Yes. The Remote terminal accepts a traveler wire from up to four HZ2-AUX or HZ2-KPEX companion devices for 3-way and 4-way switching at additional locations.
