The Crestron HZ2-DIMEX-GLASS-B is a Horizon 2 in-wall forward-phase dimmer with infiNET EX wireless communication, featuring a custom-engraved Black Glass finish. It controls incandescent, magnetic low voltage, and tungsten-halogen loads up to 750 W/VA, with full Crestron Home OS integration and custom laser-etched button artwork applied at order.
Product Description
Electrically identical to the HZ2-DIMEX-DRK-BRZ, this variant uses a high-gloss Black Glass finish and requires custom engraving artwork submitted at time of order through Impress SW, the Crestron Home app, D3Pro, or Crestron Home OS Configurator. It mounts in a standard 1- to 4-gang U.S. electrical box and requires a neutral wire. The airgap switch allows safe lamp maintenance. An HZ2-FP-G faceplate (sold separately) is required. - Is this dimmer functionally identical to the Dark Bronze version?
- Yes. The HZ2-DIMEX-GLASS-B is electrically identical to the HZ2-DIMEX-DRK-BRZ. The differences are the finish material (glass vs. metal), depth (1.89 in. vs. 1.83 in.), and the engraving option.
- When must engraving files be submitted?
- Engraving artwork must be provided at the time of order via Impress SW, Crestron Home app, D3Pro, or CHO Configurator. This is a made-to-order item and cannot be changed after production.
- Can I use this dimmer with LED fixtures?
- The HZ2-DIMEX uses forward-phase dimming. For LED loads, the HZ2-DIMUEX (universal dimmer with auto-load detection) or HZ2-DIMLVEX (for 0-10V LED drivers) is recommended.
