Product Overview
The Crestron HZ2-DIMEX-DRK-BRZ is a Horizon 2 in-wall forward-phase dimmer with infiNET EX wireless communication, finished in Dark Bronze metal. It controls incandescent, magnetic low voltage, and tungsten-halogen loads up to 750 W/VA via forward-phase dimming, with full integration into a Crestron automation system over the infiNET EX 2.4 GHz mesh network.
Product Description
The HZ2-DIMEX is the forward-phase-only member of the Horizon 2 dimmer family, suited to traditional incandescent and magnetic low voltage fixture types. It can also be set to switching mode for nondimmable loads. Nine programmable push buttons with five RGB LED backlights and Tunable White 2000K–8000K provide local control and visual feedback. The Dark Bronze metal finish coordinates with other Horizon 2 devices in darker hardware specifications. Neutral wire and HZ2-FP-G faceplate (sold separately) are required. - Can the HZ2-DIMEX-DRK-BRZ dim LED loads?
- The HZ2-DIMEX uses forward-phase dimming and is optimized for incandescent, MLV, and tungsten-halogen loads. For LED and ELV fixtures, use the HZ2-DIMUEX (universal dimmer) which auto-detects the appropriate phase method. For 0-10V LED drivers, use the HZ2-DIMLVEX.
- What is the preset fade time?
- The default fade time is 1 second in standalone mode. This is adjustable through the Crestron control system for custom scene transitions.
- Is an airgap switch included?
- Yes. The HZ2-DIMEX includes an airgap switch for safe lamp maintenance, allowing the load circuit to be physically interrupted without shutting off the device power.
