Product Overview
The Crestron HZ2-DIMEX-A is a Horizon 2 in-wall forward-phase dimmer with infiNET EX wireless communication, in Alabaster (white textured) finish with custom laser engraving. It controls incandescent, magnetic low voltage, and tungsten-halogen loads up to 750 W/VA over the infiNET EX 2.4 GHz mesh network, with custom button artwork applied at time of order.
Product Description
The HZ2-DIMEX-A provides the same forward-phase dimming performance as the Dark Bronze and Black Glass variants, in a neutral Alabaster finish suited to standard commercial and residential interiors. Custom laser-etched button artwork in any of Style 1–6 must be submitted at order via Impress SW, the Crestron Home app, D3Pro, or Crestron Home OS Configurator. An airgap switch is included, and the device can be set to switching mode for nondimmable loads. Neutral wire and HZ2-FP-G faceplate (sold separately) are required. - Can this dimmer control LED loads?
- The HZ2-DIMEX uses forward-phase dimming, which is optimized for incandescent, MLV, and tungsten-halogen loads. For LED and ELV loads, use the HZ2-DIMUEX (universal dimmer). For 0-10V LED driver-controlled fixtures, use the HZ2-DIMLVEX.
- When must I submit engraving files?
- Engraving artwork must be provided at time of order. This is a made-to-order product and files cannot be changed after production begins. Submit via Impress SW, Crestron Home app, D3Pro, or CHO Configurator.
- Is this dimmer compatible with standard residential wall boxes?
- Yes. It mounts in standard 1- to 4-gang U.S. electrical boxes with a minimum 3.5 in. depth. The HZ2-FP-G faceplate is sold separately and required for a complete installation.
