Product Overview

The Crestron HD-TXU-4KZ-211-CHGR is a DM Essentials 4K60 4:4:4 transmitter and 2x1 auto-switcher that extends HDMI, USB-C DisplayPort, and USB 2.0 signals over a single CATx cable to a paired HD-RXU-4KZ Series receiver. It accepts one HDMI input and one USB-C DisplayPort input with automatic switching, and the USB-C input can charge a connected laptop with up to 60W of power. Supporting HDR10, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision along with HDCP 2.3, it is built for conference rooms, classrooms, and codec-based collaboration spaces. The transmitter is powered by the included 24VDC power pack.

Product Description

The HD-TXU-4KZ-211-CHGR is designed to interoperate specifically with a DM Essentials HD-RXU-4KZ Series receiver to provide point-to-point extension of an HDMI or USB-C DisplayPort AV signal together with USB 2.0 data over CAT5e or higher cable. Two inputs are provided with automatic switching: one HDMI input with an associated USB 2.0 device port, and one USB-C input supporting DisplayPort Alt Mode, USB 2.0, and device charging. Switching occurs based on the last connected input or assigned routing priority, and front-panel push buttons allow manual selection. The transmitter supports 4K60 4:4:4 along with 5K Ultra-Wide 5120 x 2160 and 5K Super-Wide 5120 x 1440 resolutions, expanding compatibility with current computers and displays. DM Essentials transmission distance reaches up to 130 ft (40 m) for UHD and 4K signals and up to 230 ft (70 m) for 1080p, WUXGA, and 2K signals. Two USB 2.0 host ports and one USB 2.0 device port enable peripheral connectivity, and an integrated web server handles configuration and management. The unit also supports CEC display control, EDID management, integration with a Crestron 3-Series or later control system, XiO Cloud service, and .AV Framework technology. Note that USB 2.0 data extension requires pairing with an HD-RXU-4KZ Series receiver. For specifications not listed here, refer to the Crestron data sheet.
