Product Overview

The Crestron GLS-OIRLCL-C-CN is a miniature flush-ceiling passive infrared (PIR) occupancy sensor with closed-loop daylight sensing. It communicates via Cresnet wired bus and installs through a 1-inch diameter ceiling hole, projecting only 0.2 in. (5 mm) from the surface for a near-invisible installation profile.

Product Description

Combining 64-zone PIR motion detection with a 0–1,000 lux closed-loop photocell, the GLS-OIRLCL-C-CN provides both occupancy detection and daylight harvesting feedback to a Crestron control system via Cresnet. Coverage area is 450 sq ft in a rectangular pattern (18.57 × 24.34 ft at 8.2 ft ceiling height), with a maximum ceiling height of 16.4 ft. Vacancy mode and walk-through mode are both supported. Configuration is handled via Crestron Toolbox software or an optional IR remote. The IP64-rated housing withstands light moisture and dust, making it suitable for a wider range of ceiling environments. It is also compatible with XiO Cloud for remote provisioning. Drawing 1 W (42 mA at 24 VDC) from the Cresnet bus, it requires no separate power supply. For ordering and support, visit creationnetworks.net.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between the GLS-OIRLCL-C-CN and the GLS-ODT-C-CN?
The GLS-OIRLCL-C-CN is a single-technology PIR sensor with closed-loop daylight photocell in a miniature 1-inch cutout ceiling mount form factor. The GLS-ODT-C-CN combines PIR and ultrasonic dual-technology sensing for better fine-motion detection in a larger 4.8-inch diameter surface-mount form factor. The GLS-OIRLCL is preferred where minimal ceiling penetration and daylight harvesting are priorities; the GLS-ODT-C is preferred where reliable minor-motion detection (seated occupants) is critical.
Does this sensor require a separate power supply?
No. It draws 1 W (42 mA) from the Cresnet bus. No additional power wiring is needed beyond the Cresnet cable run to the ceiling location.
What is walk-through mode?
In walk-through mode, if a space is occupied for 90 seconds or less, lights turn off 60 seconds after vacancy. This prevents lights from remaining on after a brief transient occupancy such as someone walking through without staying.
