Crestron DM-NVX-360 – DM NVX 4K60 4:4:4 HDR Network AV Encoder/Decoder
Product Overview
The Crestron DM-NVX-360 is the flagship dual-role 4K60 4:4:4 HDR AV-over-IP encoder/decoder — a single device that transports ultra-high-definition 4K60 4:4:4 video over standard Gigabit Ethernet with no perceptible latency or loss of quality and is software-configurable as either an encoder (transmitting) or decoder (receiving). With built-in scaling, video wall processing, adaptive bit rate, AES67 audio, USB and KVM routing, HDR10/HDR10+/Dolby Vision support, HDCP 2.3, and optional fiber connectivity, it is the most capable and widely deployed standalone DM NVX endpoint for enterprise and campus-wide 4K AV-over-IP content distribution.
Product Description
DM NVX technology transports ultra-high-definition 4K60 4:4:4 video over standard Gigabit Ethernet with no perceptible latency or loss of quality. Using standard network switches and CAT5e UTP wiring, a DM NVX system delivers a high-performance virtual matrix routing solution for any enterprise or campus-wide 4K content distribution application. The DM-NVX-360 supports HDR10, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision — the broadest HDR format support in the DM NVX standalone encoder/decoder family — alongside HDCP 2.3 for full compatibility with premium content sources and today’s varied displays.
A single HDMI input accepts sources up to DCI 4K60 (4096×2160@60Hz) at 4:4:4 12-bit color with Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and HDR10. The HDMI output includes an integrated 4K60 4:4:4 scaler, allowing the unit in decoder mode to scale any received stream to the native resolution of the connected display. Built-in video wall processing supports configurations of up to 8×8 (64 displays), with fully adjustable zoom and bezel compensation per endpoint. Dynamic text overlay enables real-time source labeling, scheduling, alerts, and messaging on decoded output. An analog stereo audio port is configurable as input or output — embed a local stereo source into the video stream as an encoder, or de-embed audio from the decoded stream to feed a local sound system as a decoder, with volume adjustable via control system or web browser. AES67 audio transmit and receive capability enables integration with Dante/AES67 network audio infrastructure alongside the DM NVX video stream. USB 2.0 and KVM extension routes USB host and device signals alongside video for remote PC control and USB peripheral sharing. RS-232, IR, and CEC device control extend room control to displays and devices at the decoder location. Pixel Perfect Processing technology ensures imperceptible end-to-end latency of less than one frame. Enterprise-grade security — 802.1X, Active Directory credential management, AES-128, TLS, SSH, and HTTPS — meets demanding IT policies for enterprise and government network AV systems. Copper and optional SFP fiber Ethernet connectivity accommodates long-distance or electrically isolated runs. PoE+ (IEEE 802.3at) powers the unit from any compliant switch, eliminating a local power supply.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between DM-NVX-360 and DM-NVX-363?
The DM-NVX-363 adds Dante/AES67 audio networking and audio downmixing. The DM-NVX-360 supports AES67 transmit/receive but not native Dante integration at the same level as the 363. For systems with a dedicated Dante audio network requiring deep integration, specify the DM-NVX-363. Contact Creation Networks for guidance.
Does DM-NVX-360 support Dolby Vision — not just HDR10?
Yes — the DM-NVX-360 supports HDR10, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision, making it the broadest HDR-capable standalone DM NVX encoder/decoder. This is a key differentiator over the card-version NVX-360C and some other DM NVX models. Confirm Dolby Vision source and display compatibility with Creation Networks.
How many displays can a DM-NVX video wall use?
Up to 8×8 = 64 displays in a single video wall, with one DM-NVX-360 decoder per display. Each endpoint provides adjustable zoom and bezel compensation for flexible video wall configurations and display types.
Do I need a separate power supply?
No — the DM-NVX-360 is PoE+ (IEEE 802.3at) powered from any compliant managed switch (25.5W). A Crestron CEN-SWPOE series switch or third-party PoE+ switch provides power. An optional power pack (PW-2412WU, sold separately) is available if PoE+ is not available on the switch port.
What is the stream type setting for DM-NVX-D10/D20/D200 decoder compatibility?
In encoder mode, set stream type to DM-NVX-D10/D20/D200 Series (not the default Pixel Perfect Processing) for interoperability with those decoder models. Also ensure the encoder resolution does not exceed the maximum resolution supported by the target decoder. Contact Creation Networks for decoder compatibility guidance.
What is the warranty?
Crestron provides a standard 3-year limited warranty. Contact Creation Networks.
