Product Overview
The Crestron DM-NUX-R2-1G-W is the remote, device-side module of the DM NUX USB over Network family, in a single-gang white wall plate. It provides four USB Type A ports for connecting keyboards, mice, cameras, whiteboards, and other peripherals at a remote location. The module extends and routes USB 1.0, 1.1, and 2.0 signals over Ethernet or CAT5e cable for distances up to 330 ft (100 m). Paired with a DM-NUX-L2 local endpoint, it forms a managed USB extension and routing link.
Product Description
The DM-NUX-R2-1G-W provides connectivity for up to four USB devices at one location, expandable using up to four USB hubs (not included) for as many as 30 USB devices. It connects to a Crestron DM-NUX-L2 local endpoint, either directly over a dedicated CAT5e or higher cable or across a Layer 2 Ethernet network, transporting USB at speeds up to 480 Mbps depending on network conditions. Using Virtual Hub technology, up to five DM-NUX-R2 endpoints can connect to a single DM-NUX-L2, enabling numerous devices to control one host. The endpoint requires no drivers with Windows, macOS, or Linux and is plug-and-play compatible with most USB 1.1 and 2.0 devices, including isochronous devices. When integrated with a DigitalMedia system, USB routing follows video and audio routing, allowing switching between hosts under control system management. Each USB port provides up to 600 mA concurrently, or up to 1 A when two or fewer ports are in use. The DM-NUX-R2 is powered by an included PW-2407WU power pack. To form a complete system, pair it with a Crestron DM-NUX-L2-1G-W local module.
