Product Overview

The Crestron DIN-BLOCK is a DIN rail-mounted Cresnet distribution block designed to facilitate the termination of Cresnet wiring at a head end or distribution point. It provides a simple means for connecting up to 12 separate Cresnet cables in parallel as part of any-sized network. DIN rail mounting enables modular installation alongside Crestron DIN Rail lighting and automation control modules and other third-party DIN rail devices. The block draws just 0.3 watts from Cresnet.

Product Description

Cresnet is the communications backbone for Crestron lighting modules, wall box dimmers, shade controllers, thermostats, keypads, touchpanels, and many other devices. This 4-wire bus supports combinations of homerun and daisy-chain wiring, and the DIN-BLOCK consolidates those connections into a single, serviceable distribution point. Twelve 4-pin 3.5 mm detachable terminal blocks are provided, arranged into two groups of six, with the Y, Z, and G terminals paralleled between the groups.

In addition to data, Cresnet carries 24 volts DC for powering connected devices. The DIN-BLOCK's two power groups make it easy to manage power distribution across a network: a separate power supply may be dedicated to each group, or a single supply can feed both, with each group supporting up to 75 watts. The block snaps onto a standard 35 mm DIN rail for installation in a wall mount enclosure or on a wall panel, with detachable screw terminals accessible from the front and diagnostic LED indicators on the center front panel.
