The Crestron CM2-SWEX-W-S is a Cameo 2 in-wall switch with infiNET EX wireless communication, White Smooth finish. It provides relay-based on/off switching for incandescent, halogen, MLV, electronic ballast, CFL, and motor loads up to 1200 W/VA via the infiNET EX 2.4 GHz mesh network.
Product Description
The CM2-SWEX is the infiNET EX wireless switch in the Cameo 2 platform, requiring 100–240 VAC and a neutral wire at the wall box. It supports 2 to 6 programmable buttons configurable as a combination of rockers and pads, with each button supporting Normal, Tap, Double-Tap, and Press and Hold events. Six RGB LED regions provide backlit text and indicator feedback. An infiNET EX gateway is required and sold separately. A Remote terminal supports companion devices for 3-/4-way configurations. - The CM2-SWEX supports motor loads up to 1/2 HP. For motors above this rating, a dedicated motor controller is required.
- Can the CM2-SWEX be used as a dimmer?
- No. The CM2-SWEX is a relay-based on/off switch only. For dimming capability in the Cameo 2 platform, use the CM2-DIMEX (forward phase) or CM2-DIMUNEX (universal phase).
- Does this switch work without a control system?
- Yes. Local button operation functions without a connected control system. Full scheduling, scene control, and automation requires integration with a Crestron processor via an infiNET EX gateway.
