The CEN-SWSFP-28 provides 24 ports of 10 Gigabit Base-X SFP+ and four ports of 25 Gigabit Base-X SFP28, all supporting both multimode and single-mode fiber transceiver modules. This all-fiber design is well-suited to AV network backbones where copper distances are exceeded, where electrical isolation between buildings or floors is required, or where future-proofing with high-bandwidth uplinks is a priority.

A modular power supply slot accepts the optional CEN-SWSFP-PWS350 for power redundancy, an important consideration in mission-critical AV environments where downtime is not acceptable. The 680 Gbps non-blocking switching fabric delivers line-rate throughput across all 28 ports simultaneously, ensuring congestion-free multicast video distribution for DM NVX AV-over-IP systems. Switch stacking is supported via the front-panel Stack Master LED and Stack ID display, allowing multiple CEN-SWSFP-28 units to operate as a unified logical switch.
