Product Overview
CTS-SX80-IP60-K9 is Cisco's SX80 Integrator Package built around the Precision 60 camera: the SX80 codec, rack ears, power cables, a presentation cable, the Precision 60 camera with its power supply, a Cisco Touch 10 control unit, an Ethernet cable and a power injector. Cisco sold it for larger room scenarios where a motorised pan-tilt-zoom camera and a table-top touch controller are needed alongside the codec's professional I/O. The SX80 reached end-of-sale on 29 October 2019 with a last date of support of 31 October 2024, and Cisco names CS-CODEC-PRO-K9 and the Cisco Room Kit Pro G2 as replacements.
Product Description
The Precision 60 is the long-throw camera of the SX80 range: 10x optical zoom plus 2x digital, an 80-degree horizontal and 48.8-degree vertical field of view, 1920 x 1080 at 60 fps, pan of plus or minus 100 degrees and tilt of plus or minus 20 degrees. Video comes out on HDMI 1.4 or 3G-SDI and control runs over Ethernet, which is why the package includes a power injector, and Cisco states the Precision 60 is the camera that enables Cisco PresenterTrack. A second Precision 60 is required if PresenterTrack is to run alongside a main room camera.
The codec itself is a 1RU rack-mount unit with five video inputs, three video outputs, eight 48V phantom-powered Euroblock microphone inputs, four balanced line inputs, six balanced line outputs, an eight-port mixer and eight assignable equalizers, so an installed ceiling microphone array and house audio system connect directly. It runs point-to-point at up to 6 Mbps, supports H.265 as well as H.264, and hosts five-way 720p30 or four-way 1080p30 MultiSite calls with the LIC-SX80-MS licence.
Plan 1RU of rack space, a 100-120/200-240 VAC feed rated for the codec's 170 watt maximum, one 10/100/1000 LAN drop plus the two peripheral RJ-45 interfaces, and a camera position with Ethernet back to the rack. The Touch 10 pairs to the codec over the Cisco peripheral interface. For current-generation equivalents look at large room solutions and video conference systems, and see video camera hardware if only the camera is being replaced.
Key Features
- Complete integrator package — Codec, rack ears, power cables, presentation cable, Precision 60 camera, camera power supply, Touch 10, Ethernet cable and power injector all ship together, so a large room can be built from one part number.
- Precision 60 pan-tilt-zoom camera — 10x optical plus 2x digital zoom with an 80-degree horizontal field of view and 1080p60 capture reaches the far end of a long boardroom table.
- Ethernet camera control with power injector — The Precision 60 is controlled over Ethernet and powered from a 12V/3A supply, and the package includes the injector, which removes a common commissioning surprise.
- PresenterTrack capable — Cisco states the Precision 60 enables Cisco PresenterTrack, which follows a presenter from seated to standing inside a defined trigger area.
- Eight phantom-powered microphone inputs — Individual echo cancellers behind each of the eight 48V Euroblock inputs support a large-table or ceiling microphone array without external preamps.
- Three-display capability — Two HDMI outputs and one DVI-I output drive up to three screens at up to 1080p60 or WUXGA for separate people and content displays.
- Touch 10 control surface — A dedicated touch controller replaces on-screen menus and a remote, which is the expected control model for a boardroom.
- 1RU rack-mount codec — At 17.4 x 1.7 x 12.2 inches and 8.05 pounds with rack ears included, the codec installs into an existing AV rack without an additional shelf.
Typical Applications
- Boardroom — The Precision 60's 10x optical zoom and the codec's eight microphone inputs suit a long executive table with fixed camera presets.
- Conference room — Large conference rooms already fitted with ceiling microphones and an amplifier can use the Euroblock inputs and outputs directly.
- Training room — PresenterTrack on the Precision 60 keeps a moving presenter framed inside a defined zone without an operator.
- Auditorium — Six balanced line-level outputs feed an installed house audio system rather than relying on an integrated speaker.
- All-hands room — Three-display support and five-way MultiSite let a single large space host distributed sessions without external bridging.
