Product Overview
Cisco CS-KPRO-Q-C-K9 is the Room Kit Pro G2 in its Quadcam bundle, finished in Carbon Black: the Cisco Codec Pro G2, the Cisco Quad Camera and a Cisco Room Navigator on a table stand. This is a current Cisco product, named by Cisco as one of the migration products for the end-of-sale Room Kit Pro, and it is designed for high-impact spaces including large conference rooms, multi-camera spaces, training rooms, boardrooms and divisible-room deployments. The Carbon Black finish is the one to specify where the front of room is dark - black bezels, dark joinery or a broadcast-style backdrop - so the camera does not read as a light bar across the wall.
Product Description
The Quad Camera is the reason to choose the Q bundle over the Room Vision PTZ. It uses four 20 MP 1/1.7-inch CMOS sensors at 5056 x 3888 pixels with machine-intelligent switching to produce a single 1080p stream at up to 60 fps, across an 83-degree wide view and three 50-degree tele-lenses. There are no moving parts to service, no presets to maintain, and Group view, Speaker view, Frames, Dynamic and Manual modes are selected in software. Just as important for room budgeting: the Quad Camera contains its own loudspeaker - one full-range plus two low-frequency drivers, 100 Hz to 20 kHz at 90 dB maximum SPL - so a standard room does not need a separate speaker system, which the Room Vision PTZ bundles do.
The Codec Pro G2 behind it is a substantial piece of infrastructure. Five HDMI 2.0 inputs, four of them accepting 5120 x 2160 at 30 fps, plus USB-C DisplayPort Alt-mode and USB-A inputs and up to five video-over-IP streams; three HDMI 2.0 outputs with CEC 2.0, the first capable of 7680 x 4320 at 30 fps and 4Kp60 with HDCP 2.3. Eight IEEE 802.3bt PoE, PoE+ and PoE++ ports share a 120 W budget for digital microphones, Navigators and IP peripherals, and carry AES67 in and out at eight streams of eight channels.
