Product Description
The practical argument for the Quad Camera over a motorised PTZ is service life and behaviour. There is nothing to pan or tilt, so framing changes are instant and silent, and the machine-intelligent switching between the wide and tele lenses produces a single 1080p stream. Cisco publishes 7x zoom for the camera in this bundle, a pixel resolution of 5056 x 3888, a 1/1.7 CMOS sensor size, auto focus, brightness and white balance, and focus from 1 m to infinity.
Audio is the second reason this option is chosen. The Quad Camera carries a loudspeaker system with a single full-range driver and dual low-frequency drivers, a 100 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response, a maximum output of 90 dB SPL and an RCA subwoofer output, so a room can be completed without a separate loudspeaker system. Voice pickup is separate: the eight-element array drives speaker tracking, and Cisco recommends the furthest participant be within less than nine meters for optimal tracking, so table or ceiling microphones still carry the far-end audio.
Where a room is deeper or wider than that, the platform extends rather than being replaced. Extended Speaker view reaches beyond nine meters by adding a Cisco pan-tilt-zoom camera and Cisco IP microphones, and Cross-view adds two further sidewall cameras for AI-directed views of conversations across the table. Meeting zones restrict framing to defined perimeters, which keeps doorways and adjacent divisible-room space out of shot. Additional camera hardware can be added later without changing the codec.
The bundle ships as Cisco Codec EQ, a Cisco Quad Camera, the Quad Camera wall mount (BRKT-QCAM2-WMK-), the Quad Camera power adapter (PSU-12VDC-70W-GR+), a region-specific power cord and a selection of one Cisco Room Navigator touch controller in table-stand or wall-mount form.
