Product Overview
This part number is deliberately narrow: CS-DESK-NR-K9--= is a no-radio, customized-model Cisco Desk supplied as a spare service unit. It exists so a secure estate running an agreed no-radio configuration can replace a failed desk position with hardware documented identically to the unit it succeeds. Cisco states Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are not available on non-radio versions, describes -- SKUs as a Customized Model, and labels = SKUs as SPARE, so all three designators are doing real work on the purchase order. The device is the current 24-inch interactive 1080p Cisco Desk.
Product Description
In accredited environments the substitution conversation costs more than the hardware. Holding stock that carries the same NR and customized designators as the installed fleet removes it, because the replacement is documented the same way as the outgoing unit and needs no fresh assessment.
Wired capability is untouched by the missing radio. One USB-C cable still extends the laptop display at 1920 x 1080 at 60 fps, redirects touch on supported operating systems and shares the camera, microphone and speakers with any software client, and the HDMI 2.0 type A input still accepts a local source at up to 1080p60. Headsets remain wired USB at the type-A port, since Bluetooth pairing is not available on this build.
The desk provision carries over unchanged: the existing network drop, the external PSU-12VDC-70W-GR supply at 70 W maximum, and any wall or arm position built on CS-DESK-WALL= or CS-DESK-VESA=. Where a security programme covers restricted meeting rooms as well as desks, plan the combined spares pool using the small room collaboration and video conference systems ranges in the Cisco collaboration portfolio.
Key Features
- Three designators, one purpose — NR removes the wireless radio, -- marks Cisco's Customized Model, and = marks a spare service unit, together identifying a like-for-like replacement for an accredited customized fleet.
- No wireless radio fitted — Cisco states Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are not available on non-radio versions, which is what allows the endpoint into RF-restricted and accredited spaces.
- 24-inch interactive 1080p touch display — A projected capacitive multi-touch VA panel at 1080p supports digital whiteboarding and live annotation on the device itself, with no separate touch overlay to specify.
- HDMI and USB-C sources at 1080p60 — An HDMI 2.0 type A input and USB-C DisplayPort Alternate Mode both accept formats up to 1920 x 1080 at 60 fps for wired content.
- USB-C single-cable docking — One USB-C cable extends the laptop display at 1920 x 1080 at 60 fps where the computer supports DisplayPort Alternate Mode, forwards touch on supported operating systems, and shares the camera, microphone and speakers with any software client.
- 8MP camera with privacy shutter — A 1/3.2-inch 8MP sensor at 64 degrees horizontal and 50 degrees vertical, f/2.0, with automatic tilt, focus, brightness and white balance, and a physical privacy shutter with an LED indicator.
- Desk stand, wall and VESA options — The desk stand is included; CS-DESK-WALL= is the wall mount kit and CS-DESK-VESA= the VESA adapter, covering 200x100 to 100x100 and 75x75.
- Kensington security lock — A Kensington lock slot allows the device to be physically secured in an open-plan or shared workspace.
Typical Applications
- Government space — accredited facilities holding break-fix stock that matches the assessed configuration.
- Commercial meeting space — regulated estates operating a no-wireless desk standard.
- Training room — restricted instruction positions requiring rapid like-for-like replacement.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why does the spare need to carry all three designators?
Each one is checked by someone different. The absent radio satisfies the site security assessment, the customized-model marker matches the fleet's recorded configuration, and the spare designation is the correct commercial form for break-fix stock rather than a new system.
What does the no-radio build change day to day?
Cisco states Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are not available on non-radio versions, so there is no wireless association and no Bluetooth headset pairing. Wired networking, USB-C docking, the HDMI input and USB headsets work exactly as on a standard unit.
How does the Cisco Desk register?
Cisco states the Desk registers as a cloud or on-premises device and runs RoomOS 11 or later. It supports 4-way embedded SIP and H.323 conferencing with the MultiSite option, and the datasheet documents embedded encryption for H.323 and SIP point-to-point alongside end-to-end Webex encryption. Cisco does not publish a Unified CM version requirement on the Desk datasheet, so confirm your call-control version with Cisco before committing a large rollout.
Can the Cisco Desk be powered over Ethernet?
No. It uses an external power supply, PSU-12VDC-70W-GR, rated 70 W maximum with 7.5 W maximum networked standby. Each desk position needs a mains outlet as well as its network connection.
What are the mounting options?
A desk stand is included in the box. For wall or arm positions Cisco publishes the Wall Mount Kit for Cisco Desk (CS-DESK-WALL=) and the VESA Adapter for Cisco Desk (CS-DESK-VESA=), which converts 200x100 to 100x100 and 75x75. Both are ordered separately.
Can it drive a second screen?
No. The Desk is a self-contained 24-inch display rather than a codec, and Cisco publishes no video output for it. Sources go in through HDMI 2.0 type A or USB-C DisplayPort Alternate Mode at up to 1920 x 1080 at 60 fps; nothing comes out to an external monitor.
What warranty applies to the Cisco Desk?
Cisco publishes a 90-day limited liability warranty for the Cisco Desk, which is shorter than the 1-year warranty on the Desk Pro G2. Service coverage beyond that follows Cisco's standard terms for this product class; contact Creation Networks to confirm what applies to your order.
