Product Overview

CS-BRDP75-G3-K9 is the third-generation Cisco Board Pro 75, and it changes two things that matter for a larger room: the audio architecture and the weight.

Cisco publishes a board-only weight of 64.5 kg for the G3, against 72 kg for the G1 and G2, which affects the structural review, the lifting plan and how many people the install needs.

On audio, the G3 supports up to eight Cisco IP conferencing microphones over the audio-over-IP Ethernet port with AES67 available under the L-BARPRO-AV AV Integrator License, which is the practical answer to a room longer than the 4-metre internal array coverage.

The panel is an ADS LCD at a 1:1200 contrast ratio, and the platform list covers Webex, Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom for Cisco Rooms, H.323, SIP, WebRTC and BYOD over USB-C passthrough.

Product Description

The 75-inch board is usually specified for a room where the internal microphone array alone will not do the job, so the G3's networked-audio capability changes the design rather than decorating it. Eight IP conferencing microphones with AES67 lets the audio design follow the room, not the board.

The lighter chassis is the second design change. At 64.5 kg board-only, against 72 kg on the earlier generations, wall loading and manual handling both come down, and Cisco publishes the mounting weights alongside it: floor stand 32.5 kg, wheel base 5.5 kg, wall stand adapter kit 10 kg and wall mount 5.8 kg.

Some values move the other way. The G3 provides one HDMI 2.0 type A output at 4Kp60 where the G2 has two, and its HDMI input runs at 4Kp30 against 4Kp60 on the G2. Where a design depends on a second HDMI feed or a 4Kp60 wired input, that is a reason to look closely at both generations.

Management and identity are stronger on this generation. Cisco documents SUDI, Manufacturer Installed Certificate and Locally Significant Certificates with 2048, 3072 or 4096-bit X.509 keys, alongside 802.1X, 802.1Q VLAN, 802.1p QoS/CoS and SRTP with AES-128-GCM or AES-256-GCM.

Power reporting is more complete as well: 12 W typical networked standby, 1 W typical deep sleep, and a USB passthrough output stepping from 20 V at 3 A (60 W) to 5 V at 3 A (15 W). Minimum software is RoomOS June or RoomOS 26.7.2, with a one-year limited liability warranty.

Larger rooms can be completed with items from microphones and video camera hardware, and full designs are listed in large room solutions.

Key Features

  • Lighter 75-inch chassis — Cisco publishes a board-only weight of 64.5 kg for the G3, against 72 kg on the G1 and G2.
  • AES67 with up to eight IP microphones — The audio-over-IP Ethernet port scales room coverage, with AES67 under the L-BARPRO-AV AV Integrator License.
  • ADS LCD at 1:1200 contrast — The G3 panel is an ADS (IPS-level) LCD with a +/- 88 degree viewing angle at 350 cd/m2.
  • Zoom for Cisco Rooms listed — Cisco's G3 platform list covers Webex, Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom for Cisco Rooms, H.323, SIP, WebRTC and BYOD over USB-C passthrough.
  • Device identity for managed networks — SUDI, Manufacturer Installed Certificate and Locally Significant Certificates with 2048, 3072 or 4096-bit X.509 keys.
  • Deep sleep and standby figures — 1 W typical deep sleep and 12 W typical networked standby are published for the G3.
  • One-year limited liability warranty — Cisco publishes a one-year warranty for this generation.

Typical Applications

  • Conference room — Medium conference rooms with a longer table take the larger panel and networked microphone coverage.
  • Boardroom — Senior decision spaces need legible shared content at distance and audio that reaches the whole table.
  • Training room — Cisco names training rooms as an intended environment, and the 75-inch panel serves the back row.
  • Multi-purpose room — AES67 audio lets one endpoint follow a room whose layout changes.
