Product Overview

A room that was specified without presence sensing has to stay that way after a repair, which is why the no-radar spare exists as its own part number.

CS-BRDP55-ND-K9= is the Cisco Board Pro 55 G2 in the ND no-radar build, supplied as a service unit for an existing deployment.

The ND designation covers the radar only. Wi-Fi 6/6E and Bluetooth 5.2 remain available on this build, unlike the NR no-radio variants.

Everything else matches the deployed board: a 55-inch 4K UHD touch panel, dual 48 MP camera sensors, a 14-element beamforming microphone array and integrated loudspeakers.

Product Description

Policies about sensing are usually written once and enforced by exception, which makes the replacement part the point at which they quietly break. Ordering a standard board to repair a no-radar room reintroduces the exact capability an agreement excluded, and nobody notices until an audit.

The repair itself is unremarkable. The board reuses the existing mount, reconnects to the 10/100/1000 Ethernet LAN port and re-pairs the Cisco Room Navigator over the 802.3af PoE port with its 15.4 W budget. Board-only weight is 40 kg on the G1 and G2 generations.

Because the radios are retained, the room keeps its wireless sharing paths after the swap. Cisco documents Webex app sharing at up to 3840 x 2160 at 7.5 fps, Miracast at up to 1920 x 1080 at 60 fps and Apple AirPlay screen mirroring at up to 1920 x 1080 at 60 fps for this generation, alongside USB-C DisplayPort Alternate Mode at 4Kp60 and HDMI 2.0 type A at 4Kp60.

Camera behaviour is unchanged: two 48 MP image sensors with a 70-degree main lens and a 112-degree wide lens, running automatic best view, speaker tracking, Frames multi-participant framing, meeting zone support and 5x digital zoom on the device.

Registration returns to the room's configured method, from Webex activation to Cisco Unified Communications Manager 12.5(1) or later, Cisco Expressway, third-party H.323 gatekeepers or standards-based SIP proxies, on RoomOS 11.15 or later. Related items are in interactive displays and device and room control.

Key Features

  • No-radar service unit — The ND build is supplied as a spare so a repaired room keeps its no-presence-sensing configuration.
  • Radar only is omitted — Wi-Fi 6/6E and Bluetooth 5.2 remain on this build; Cisco publishes separate NR part numbers for no-radio units.
  • Wireless sharing retained — Webex app sharing, Miracast at up to 1920 x 1080 at 60 fps and Apple AirPlay screen mirroring are documented for this generation.
  • Identical camera behaviour — Dual 48 MP sensors with automatic best view, speaker tracking, Frames and 5x digital zoom match the unit being replaced.
  • Existing mount and cabling reused — The wall mount or stand, Ethernet runs and source terminations stay in place through the swap.
  • Policy continuity — Replacing like for like keeps a documented privacy or works council position intact without a new approval.

Typical Applications

  • Conference room — Rooms covered by a sensing policy are repaired without reintroducing presence detection.
  • Commercial meeting space — Employers operating under staff agreements keep those agreements intact after a failure.
  • Training room — Teaching spaces where attendance monitoring is sensitive stay configured as agreed.
  • Government space — Public sector sites with rules on sensing in meeting rooms replace like for like.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does ND mean on the part number?

Cisco uses ND to designate the No-Radar variant, supplied without the presence-detection radar.

Does this spare still have Wi-Fi?

Yes. ND covers the radar only. Cisco lists separate NR part numbers for builds without Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

Can a standard board be used instead?

It would reintroduce presence sensing to a room that was specified without it, which breaks the policy the original order was made under.

Is wireless content sharing still available?

Yes. Cisco documents Webex app sharing, Miracast and Apple AirPlay screen mirroring for this generation.

Does the room need re-cabling?

No. The LAN, PoE, external camera control, audio-over-IP, USB-C and HDMI connections all reconnect unchanged.

What software release does it need?

RoomOS 11.15 or later for the Board Pro 55 G2.

What warranty applies?

Cisco publishes a 90-day limited liability warranty for this product class. Warranty is handled per Cisco's standard terms; contact Creation Networks to confirm coverage for your order.
