Product Overview

Presence detection is the feature that most often stalls a room deployment, not because it fails but because someone has to approve it. CS-BRDP55-ND-K9 removes that conversation: it is the no-radar ordering variant of the Cisco Board Pro 55 G2.

Cisco's ND designation covers the radar only. The Wi-Fi and Bluetooth radios remain on this SKU, which is what separates it from the NR no-radio variants listed in the same G2 ordering table.

It is specified where a privacy policy, a works council agreement or a site rule bars presence sensing in meeting spaces, and where the rest of the platform is wanted unchanged.

The board is otherwise the standard G2: a 55-inch 4K UHD multi-touch panel, dual 48 MP camera sensors, a 14-element beamforming microphone array and integrated multi-channel loudspeakers.

Product Description

The decision to order the ND variant is usually made by someone outside the AV team, so it is worth stating clearly on the requisition why the part number differs. Cisco lists CS-BRDP55-ND-K9 in its published Board Pro 55 G2 main-unit ordering table, which makes it a documented factory build rather than a local modification.

Nothing about the meeting experience changes. Two 48 MP image sensors drive a 70-degree main lens and a 112-degree wide lens with automatic best view, speaker tracking, Frames multi-participant framing, meeting zone support and 5x digital zoom, all running on the device.

Because the radios are retained, wireless content sharing paths remain available: Cisco documents Webex app sharing up to 3840 x 2160 at 7.5 fps, Miracast up to 1920 x 1080 at 60 fps and Apple AirPlay screen mirroring up to 1920 x 1080 at 60 fps, alongside the wired USB-C and HDMI inputs.

Integration is the same as the standard board. One 10/100/1000 Ethernet LAN port, an 802.3af PoE port with a 15.4 W budget for a Cisco Room Navigator, an external camera control port, an audio-over-IP port, two analog microphone inputs and a 3.5 mm stereo line out, with two HDMI 2.0 type A outputs at 4Kp60.

Deployment planning uses the same figures as any Board Pro 55 G2: 40 kg board-only weight, a wall mount kit included by default, and wall stand, floor stand and wheel upgrade options. Registration covers Webex, Cisco Unified Communications Manager 12.5(1) or later, Cisco Expressway, third-party SIP and H.323, and Microsoft Teams Rooms on Android from RoomOS 11.15.

Organisations rolling this policy across an estate can review the compatible control surfaces in device and room control and the full endpoint range in interactive displays and our Cisco catalog.

Key Features

  • No-Radar ordering variant — Cisco publishes ND SKUs for sites that prohibit the presence-detection radar, and lists this part in the Board Pro 55 G2 ordering table.
  • Wireless connectivity retained — The ND designation covers the radar only, so Wi-Fi 6/6E and Bluetooth 5.2 remain available, unlike the NR no-radio variants.
  • Wireless sharing still available — Cisco documents Webex app sharing, Miracast at up to 1920 x 1080 at 60 fps and Apple AirPlay screen mirroring for this generation.
  • Dual 48 MP camera system — A 70-degree main lens and a 112-degree wide lens with on-device framing cover both the table and the full room width.
  • 14-element beamforming microphone array — Cisco states the array is optimised to 4 metres (13 ft), which suits the small and medium rooms this board is positioned for.
  • Standard integration and mounting — Port set, PoE budget for the Room Navigator and the published mounting kits are identical to the standard G2 board.

Typical Applications

  • Conference room — Organisations with a privacy policy on occupancy sensing keep a standard room build with the radar omitted.
  • Commercial meeting space — Employers operating under works council or staff agreements avoid a per-room negotiation.
  • Training room — Teaching spaces where attendance monitoring is a sensitive subject use the same platform without presence detection.
  • Government space — Public sector sites with rules on sensing in meeting rooms specify the ND part number directly.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does the ND suffix mean?

Cisco uses ND to designate the No-Radar variant, supplied without the presence-detection radar.

Does the ND variant still have Wi-Fi?

Yes. ND covers the radar only. Cisco lists separate NR part numbers for builds without Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

Is wireless content sharing affected?

No. Cisco documents Webex app sharing up to 3840 x 2160 at 7.5 fps, Miracast up to 1920 x 1080 at 60 fps and Apple AirPlay screen mirroring for this generation.

Is this a special order or a standard part?

It is a standard ordering variant. Cisco lists CS-BRDP55-ND-K9 in the published Board Pro 55 G2 main-unit ordering table.

Does anything change for the installer?

No. The port set, the 802.3af PoE budget of 15.4 W for the Room Navigator, the mounting kits and the 40 kg board weight are all unchanged.

Which call control platforms are supported?

Webex activation, Cisco Unified Communications Manager 12.5(1) or later, Cisco Expressway, third-party H.323 gatekeepers and standards-based SIP proxies, and Microsoft Teams Rooms on Android.
