Product Overview

When a no-radio room is repaired, two things have to be re-established: the physical build and the device's identity on the network. CS-BRDP55-G3-NRK9= is the spare that handles the first cleanly and makes the second straightforward.

This is the Board Pro 55 G3 with Wi-Fi 6/6E and Bluetooth 5.2 not fitted, supplied as a service unit for an existing deployment.

The G3 documents Secure Unique Device Identifier, Manufacturer Installed Certificate and Locally Significant Certificate handling, which is what allows a replacement to be enrolled onto a managed network without a manual trust exception.

Product Description

The re-enrolment step is the part most break/fix plans forget. A replacement board is a new device to the network, so the certificate and 802.1X posture has to be re-established before the room is usable, and the G3's manufacturer-installed identity shortens that considerably.

Cisco documents 802.1X authentication using either a passphrase or an X.509 client certificate, with 802.1Q VLAN, 802.1p QoS/CoS, HTTP(S) and inspecting TLS proxy support, SRTP with AES-128-GCM or AES-256-GCM and secure management over HTTPS and SSH.

Physically the swap reuses the room: the installed mount stays, the 10/100/1000 Ethernet LAN drop is reconnected, the Cisco Room Navigator re-pairs over the 802.3af PoE port with its 15.4 W budget, and any Cisco IP conferencing microphones on the audio-over-IP port, up to eight on this generation, return to service.

Wired content paths are unchanged: USB-C DisplayPort Alternate Mode at 4Kp60 and an HDCP-compatible HDMI 2.0 type A input at 4Kp30, with one HDMI 2.0 type A output at 4Kp60. A factory reset pinhole is documented on the G3 alongside the microUSB service port.
