Product Overview

Wired-only rooms have historically been given older hardware, because the no-radio variants lag the standard build. CS-BRDP55-G3-NRK9 closes that gap: it is the current-generation Board Pro 55 with Wi-Fi 6/6E and Bluetooth 5.2 not fitted.

For a secure or RF-restricted facility the G3 is a genuinely better platform, because its audio and identity features are the ones that matter when everything has to be cabled and managed.

Cisco documents audio over IP for up to eight Cisco IP conferencing microphones with AES67 support, and certificate handling covering SUDI, MIC and LSC.

The board is otherwise the standard G3: a 55-inch 4K UHD ADS LCD panel at 1:1200 contrast, dual 48 MP camera sensors and a 14-element beamforming microphone array.

Product Description

The design principle in an RF-restricted room is that every path is a cable, and the G3 makes that a stronger position rather than a compromise. Instead of relying on the internal array alone, a room can run up to eight Cisco IP conferencing microphones over the audio-over-IP Ethernet port, with AES67 available under the L-BARPRO-AV AV Integrator License.

Network attachment is a single 10/100/1000 Ethernet LAN port, authenticated with 802.1X using a passphrase or an X.509 client certificate. The G3's documented certificate handling, including Secure Unique Device Identifier and Locally Significant Certificates, is what lets that enrolment be automated on a managed network.

Content sharing is wired: USB-C DisplayPort Alternate Mode at 4Kp60, an HDCP-compatible HDMI 2.0 type A input at 4Kp30 and one HDMI 2.0 type A output at 4Kp60. USB passthrough power output steps from 20 V at 3 A (60 W) down to 5 V at 3 A (15 W).

The Cisco Room Navigator is powered and paired over the board's 802.3af PoE Ethernet port with its 15.4 W budget, so the control surface needs no wireless pairing and no local power supply.

Registration for closed networks is Cisco Unified Communications Manager 15 SU5 or later, or native Cisco Expressway, with third-party H.323 gatekeepers and standards-based SIP proxies also documented, from RoomOS June or RoomOS 26.7.2. Rooms can be completed with items from microphones and device and room control.

Key Features

  • No-Radio G3 build — Cisco lists Wi-Fi 6/6E as not available in non-radio versions and Bluetooth 5.2 as not available on the No-Radio model.
  • Up to eight IP conferencing microphones — The audio-over-IP Ethernet port scales coverage in a wired room far beyond the 4-metre internal array.
  • AES67 support — Available under the L-BARPRO-AV Board Pro AV Integrator License, which lets the board join an existing networked-audio infrastructure.
  • Documented device identity — SUDI, Manufacturer Installed Certificate and Locally Significant Certificates support automated enrolment on a managed network.
  • Wired content and power over USB-C — USB-C DisplayPort Alternate Mode at 4Kp60 with a documented passthrough power output up to 60 W replaces wireless sharing.
  • Controller powered from the board — The 802.3af PoE Ethernet port with a 15.4 W budget powers and pairs a Cisco Room Navigator.

Typical Applications

  • Government space — Wired-only rooms get current-generation hardware rather than an older platform.
  • Conference room — Corporate security zones that bar wireless emitters still get full room capability.
  • Training room — RF-sensitive teaching spaces scale microphone coverage over the wired audio-over-IP port.
  • Multi-purpose room — Rooms built to a strict RF standard remain flexible through networked audio.
