Product Overview
New fleets need spares earlier than most organisations plan for, because a first-year failure lands before any replacement stock exists. CS-BRDP55-G3-K9= is the Cisco Board Pro 55 G3 service unit that covers it.
The trailing equals sign marks the part as a spare, ordered against an existing deployment rather than as a new room build.
Matching the generation matters here more than usual: the G3 runs from RoomOS June or RoomOS 26.7.2 or later and registers on-premises to Cisco Unified Communications Manager 15 SU5 or later, so an older board is not a drop-in equivalent.
Cisco publishes a one-year limited liability warranty for the G3, against 90 days on the earlier generations.
Product Description
A same-generation spare keeps one software baseline across the estate. Where a fleet is managed centrally, mixing a G2 board into a G3 room introduces a second minimum release and a second set of platform behaviours to document, which is a support cost that outlives the repair.
The physical swap reuses the room. The existing wall mount kit, wall stand or floor stand stays in place, the 10/100/1000 Ethernet LAN drop is reconnected and the Cisco Room Navigator re-pairs over the board's 802.3af PoE port with its 15.4 W budget. Board-only weight on the G3 is 40.5 kg.
Source connections reconnect unchanged: USB-C DisplayPort Alternate Mode at 4Kp60, an HDCP-compatible HDMI 2.0 type A input at 4Kp30, one HDMI 2.0 type A output at 4Kp60, two analog microphone inputs and a 3.5 mm stereo line out. Any Cisco IP conferencing microphones on the audio-over-IP port, up to eight on this generation, reconnect as they were.
Where AES67 was in use, the L-BARPRO-AV Board Pro AV Integrator License is the documented requirement, and the licensing position should be confirmed alongside the hardware order.
Platform support is Webex, Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom for Cisco Rooms, H.323, SIP, WebRTC and BYOD using USB-C passthrough. Mounting spares are listed in display mounts and alternatives in interactive displays.
Key Features
- Same-generation replacement — Repairing a G3 room with a G3 board keeps one software baseline and one set of documented behaviours.
- Service-unit designation — The trailing equals sign is Cisco's spare marker for an order against an existing deployment.
- One-year limited liability warranty — Cisco publishes a one-year warranty for the G3 generation.
- Existing mount and cabling reused — The installed mounting hardware, Ethernet runs and source terminations all stay in place.
- Networked microphones reconnect — Up to eight Cisco IP conferencing microphones on the audio-over-IP port return to service with the replacement.
- Published handling weight — 40.5 kg board-only on the G3, with lifting handles supplied.
Typical Applications
- Conference room — A failed current-generation board is replaced without changing the room's software baseline.
- Training room — Timetabled teaching spaces are restored inside the same week.
- Commercial meeting space — Estates that have standardised on the G3 hold a matching spare per site or region.
- Government space — Documented room builds are repaired without introducing a different generation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can a G2 board be used to repair a G3 room?
It would work as an endpoint but it is not equivalent. The G3 has a different minimum software release, different on-premises call-control requirements and a different audio and port specification.
What is the minimum software release for the G3?
RoomOS June or RoomOS 26.7.2 or later.
Which on-premises call control does it need?
Cisco Unified Communications Manager 15 SU5 or later, or native registration with Cisco Expressway.
Does the existing mount fit?
Yes. Cisco publishes a board-only weight of 40.5 kg for the Board Pro 55 G3 and the same mounting kit family as the earlier generations.
What happens to AES67 after a swap?
AES67 requires the L-BARPRO-AV Board Pro AV Integrator License. Confirm the licensing position alongside the replacement hardware.
How many networked microphones does the G3 support?
Up to eight Cisco IP conferencing microphones over the audio-over-IP Ethernet port.
What warranty applies?
Cisco publishes a one-year limited liability warranty for the G3. Warranty is handled per Cisco's standard terms; contact Creation Networks to confirm coverage for your order.
