Product Overview
Programmes moving an estate onto the third generation usually fix the configuration once and then repeat it. CS-BRDP55-G3-K9-- is Cisco's customized-model part number for the Board Pro 55 G3, used for exactly that.
The double hyphen appears in Cisco's G2 and G3 ordering tables as the customized-model designation; what it contains is defined by the order, so the build sheet is the document to check.
The platform is the current Board Pro 55 G3: a 55-inch 4K UHD ADS LCD panel at 1:1200 contrast, dual 48 MP camera sensors, a 14-element beamforming microphone array and audio over IP for up to eight Cisco IP conferencing microphones.
Minimum software is RoomOS June or RoomOS 26.7.2 or later, with a one-year limited liability warranty.
Product Description
The reason configured orders matter more on a generational change is that a rollout crossing two years of deliveries has to arrive identically at the start and at the end. Fixing the mounting method, the accessory set and the power cord specification under one part number is what makes that possible.
Cisco publishes the package sizes that a configured order changes: a main unit package of 1508 x 242 x 1000 mm, a wall mount kit package of 1282 x 233 x 117 mm, a floor stand kit package of 1569 x 1151 x 189 mm and a wheel upgrade kit package of 858 x 328 x 99 mm. Those figures decide delivery access as much as the board itself does.
Room integration is standard G3. One 10/100/1000 Ethernet LAN port, an 802.3af PoE port with a 15.4 W budget for a Cisco Room Navigator, a port for external camera control, and an audio-over-IP port supporting AES67 under the L-BARPRO-AV license. Content arrives over USB-C DisplayPort Alternate Mode at 4Kp60 or HDMI 2.0 type A at 4Kp30, with one HDMI 2.0 type A output at 4Kp60.
Platform support is listed as Webex, Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom for Cisco Rooms, H.323, SIP, WebRTC and BYOD using USB-C passthrough, with on-premises registration to Cisco Unified Communications Manager 15 SU5 or later or native Cisco Expressway.
Software options for the generation are published separately: L-BOARD-RM for remote monitoring, L-BOARD-MS for embedded multisite and L-BARPRO-AV for AV integration. Related hardware is in display mounts, meeting room bundles and interactive displays.
Key Features
- Customized-model designation — Cisco lists the double-hyphen suffix in the Board Pro G2 and G3 ordering tables for special-configuration orders.
- Repeatable across a long rollout — One configured part number keeps deliveries identical from the first room to the last.
- Published package sizes — Main unit, wall mount kit, floor stand kit and wheel upgrade kit package dimensions are all documented for the G3.
- Current-generation platform — ADS LCD at 1:1200 contrast, dual 48 MP sensors and audio over IP for up to eight Cisco IP conferencing microphones.
- Documented software options — L-BOARD-RM remote monitoring, L-BOARD-MS embedded multisite and L-BARPRO-AV AV integrator licences are published for the G3.
- Standard integration requirements — Cabling, PoE for the Room Navigator and registration paths match the standard G3 SKU.
Typical Applications
- Conference room — Multi-room programmes receive the same agreed build at every site.
- Training room — Teaching estates standardising mounting and accessories order one part number throughout.
- Commercial meeting space — Large organisations moving to the current generation avoid per-site variation.
- Government space — Public sector programmes with a documented equipment list order to that list.
