Product Overview

The distributor lists this SKU as the Cisco Webex Board 70S, Non Radio, and Cisco's own ordering list records CS-BOARD70S-NR-K7 as the non-wireless, non-crypto main unit. It is a 70-inch 4K multi-touch collaboration board with a fixed 4Kp60 camera, a 12-element microphone array with intelligent voice tracking and an integrated voice-optimized speaker, supplied without the 802.11 radios. Cisco positions the 70S for huddle rooms and small spaces accommodating up to five people. The 70S is end-of-sale as of May 10, 2022, with a last date of support of May 31, 2027 and the Board Pro 75 (CS-BRD75P-K9) as the named replacement.

Product Description

Buyers land on this part number for one of two reasons: a procurement standard specifies it and the room still has to be filled, or a failed unit in an existing installation has to be matched exactly. Either way the deployment is wired. One Ethernet (RJ-45) 100/1000 Mbps drop carries provisioning and calls, and Cisco documents Cisco Discovery Protocol, 802.1X authentication, 802.1Q VLAN, 802.1p QoS, HTTP(S) proxy support and TLS proxy inspection on the platform — a fuller managed-network feature set than the 55S publishes.

The 70S is also the size where the analog output earns its keep. A 3.5 mm mini-jack line out lets the board feed an existing room reinforcement or assistive listening system, which matters in a longer room where the integrated speaker alone will not carry. Wired sources use a single HDMI input, USB-C provides touch redirect to a connected laptop, and the USB micro port is maintenance-only. Registration is to Webex cloud with Cisco Webex Room OS, or on premises from CE9.8 or later.

Plan the mount before delivery: the panel is 1034 x 1627 x 61 mm and 64.3 kg [141.8 lb], drawing 222 W in use and 33 W in sleep from an autosensing 100-240 VAC supply at up to 4.6 A, and it is not PoE-powered. Cisco publishes CS-BOARD70-FS=, CS-BOARD70-WS= and CS-BOARD70-WMK= as complete mounting assemblies for "Cisco Webex Board 70/70S", with the floor stand kit at 15 kg and the wall mount kit at 6 kg. Creation Networks lists it under interactive displays, alongside its video conference systems, with mounts in display mounts.

Key Features

  • Non-radio main unit — The 802.11a/b/g/n and 802.11ac radios are not fitted, which is the configuration an RF-restricted site or a fixed procurement standard normally requires.
  • Full managed-network feature set — Cisco documents CDP, 802.1X, 802.1Q VLAN, 802.1p QoS, HTTP(S) proxy support and TLS proxy inspection for the 70S.
  • Analog line output — A 3.5 mm mini-jack line out feeds an existing reinforcement or assistive listening system where the integrated speaker will not carry the room.
  • Fixed 4Kp60 camera — An f/2.8 fixed lens at 83 degrees horizontal and 55 degrees vertical covers the space with no pan-tilt-zoom mechanism to maintain.
  • USB-C touch redirect — Touch input passes back to a connected laptop so a wired presenter drives their own applications from the 70-inch panel.
  • Mounts shared with Board 70 — Cisco publishes the floor stand, wall stand and wall mount kit as covering "Cisco Webex Board 70/70S", so first-generation mounts can be reused.
  • Cloud or on-premises registration — The board runs Webex Room OS against the Webex cloud or registers on premises from CE9.8 or later.

Typical Applications

  • Government space — a non-radio configuration for sites where wireless emitters are not permitted.
  • Conference room — a 70-inch board with whiteboarding and calling for a standard corporate meeting room.
  • Training room — the line output allows the board to drive an existing room reinforcement system.
  • Huddle room — Cisco positions the 70S for huddle rooms and small spaces of up to five people.
