Product Overview

No-radio hardware is harder to source at short notice than standard stock, which is the practical argument for holding a spare rather than ordering one when a room fails. CS-BARPRO-NR-K9= is the Cisco Room Bar Pro service unit in the non-radio build, where Cisco states Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are not available; the trailing = marks it as a spare rather than a complete new room system. It is the line item a secure medium-room estate stocks so an approved room can be restored without waiting on a supply chain.

Product Description

A spares pool for RF-restricted rooms is sized by how many rooms share the same build and how long the estate can tolerate one being unavailable. Because a standard radio unit is not a permissible substitute in an approved room at any price, the usual approach is one no-radio spare per group of similar rooms, refreshed as the estate grows.

The replacement restores the full wired capability: three HDMI outputs to 3840 x 2160 at 60 fps with CEC 2.0, one HDMI and one USB-C input each to 3840 x 2160 at 30 fps, dual 48 MP cameras with motorized tilt, a 16-element beamforming array optimised for people within four metres, and a three-channel loudspeaker system to 97 dB. Absent with the radio are Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Miracast and Bluetooth-discovered AirPlay.

Fitting the spare reuses the room's mounting and cabling. Cisco's consolidated mounting unit fits walls and displays above or underneath the screens with the bar invertible and the grille de-attachable, and the built-in power supply needs only a country-specific power cord. Three 802.3af PoE ports at 15.4 W each cover the Room Navigator and two AV-over-IP peripherals. Compare stock in video bars and medium room solutions.

Confirm on the quote whether a Room Navigator ships with the spare, since that determines whether the existing panel is reused or a new one is needed. Panels are listed under device and room control.

Key Features

  • Cisco spare service unit — The = designator marks a service replacement, which is how a secure estate stocks hardware it cannot substitute in an emergency.
  • No-radio hardware variant — Cisco publishes non-radio SKUs in which Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are not available, which is what secure and RF-restricted facilities require before a device is approved.
  • Three-screen support — Three HDMI outputs at up to 3840 x 2160 at 60 fps drive three displays for video and content, covering a dual-display room plus a content or signage screen without an external codec.
  • Dual 48 MP camera system — A 112 degree wide-angle lens and a 70 degree tele-lens, both on 48 MP sensors with motorized tilt between -2 and 20 degrees, cover the room and then frame the speaker without cropping quality away.
  • 16-element beamforming microphone array — The array covers 120 Hz to 16 kHz and is optimised for small to medium rooms with people seated within four metres, with speaker tracking recommended to six metres.
  • Three-channel loudspeaker system — Three full-range drivers with a mechanically balanced dual woofer section deliver 70 Hz to 22 kHz at up to 97 dB maximum sound pressure level with directional audio.
  • Invertible mounting with gap bar — The consolidated mounting unit fits walls and displays above or underneath the screens, and the bar can be inverted with the speaker grille de-attached and flipped to match.
  • Built-in power supply — An internal power supply removes the external brick, simplifying installation, reducing packaging and easing cable management behind the display.
  • Media encryption and certificate management — SRTP with AES-128-GCM or AES-256-GCM, H.235 v3 with AES, and a Manufacturer Installed Certificate signed by Cisco's manufacturing CA for CAPF onboarding to Cisco UCM.

Typical Applications

  • Government space — Documented 802.1X authentication, SRTP media encryption and manufacturer-installed certificates support the security review a government room has to pass.
  • Conference room — Cisco positions the Room Bar Pro for medium-sized meeting spaces, with a microphone array optimised for people seated within four metres of the device.
  • Training room — Three HDMI outputs and presenter tracking with the Cisco PTZ 4K Camera cover a presenter, the material and remote participants at the same time.
  • Multi-purpose room — Meeting Zone framing perimeters and up to three screens let one room switch between meeting, briefing and presentation use without reconfiguration.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this a complete new system or a service replacement?

The = suffix marks a Cisco spare or service unit, intended to replace a bar in an existing deployment rather than to be quoted as a complete new room system. Confirm on your quote whether a Room Navigator is included.

What is removed on a non-radio unit?

Cisco states Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are not available on the non-radio version. That removes the Wi-Fi 6E tri-band radio, Bluetooth and Bluetooth Low Energy, Miracast sharing, and Bluetooth discovery for Apple AirPlay, which falls back to Bonjour service discovery. Wired Ethernet is required.

Does a Room Navigator ship with this SKU?

Cisco's Room Bar Pro documentation lists a Cisco Room Navigator for Table in First Light as part of the box contents, and publishes no standalone or Navigator-bundle variants for this product. Because part-number designators can differ from the base build, confirm on your quote whether a Navigator is included before pricing a control surface separately.

How does it mount?

A consolidated mounting unit for walls and displays ships in the box, with a gap bar covering the space between the bar and the display. It supports mounting above or underneath the screens, and when fitted underneath the unit can be inverted with the speaker grille de-attached and flipped to align.

How many displays can it drive?

Three. Cisco publishes 3x HDMI outputs supporting formats up to 3840 x 2160 at 60 fps with CEC 2.0, touchscreen compatible when used with the USB-A inputs for touch signalling. Only one 1.5 m HDMI cable ships in the box, so order cables for the second and third screens separately.

How are additional microphones added?

Two dedicated 802.3af PoE ports with a 15.4 W budget each support audio over IP for up to eight Cisco IP microphones or eight third-party AES67 digital microphones. Cisco notes a PoE-compatible switch may be required depending on microphone count, and that third-party AES67 microphones need the AV Integrator License (L-BARPRO-AV).

How is the device secured on the network?

Cisco documents 802.1X network authentication, 802.1Q VLAN and 802.1p CoS, secure management over HTTPS and SSH, SRTP media encryption with AES-128-GCM or AES-256-GCM, and a Manufacturer Installed Certificate signed by Cisco's manufacturing CA for CAPF onboarding to Cisco UCM. A Kensington safety key slot is provided for physical security.

What warranty applies?

Cisco publishes a 1-year limited liability warranty for the Room Bar Pro. Warranty is handled per Cisco's standard terms for this product class — contact Creation Networks to confirm coverage for your order.
