What is the Christie 900-300413-01 UST lens?
An ultra short throw lens that delivers 0.38:1 on HS Series projectors and 0.46:1 on Jazz Series, supplied with a stabilizer plate. The throw ratio differs between series because the imager sizes differ — the same optic, two numbers.
Why the stabilizer plate matters
A UST lens is heavy and sits far forward of the mount, which puts leverage on the lens mount. The stabilizer plate carries that load so the optic stays aligned over time rather than drifting — and on a ceiling-mounted projector, drift means a service visit.
This is the version to specify where the projector is permanently installed. The plate is not an optional accessory on a lens this size.
Throw distance
At 0.38:1 on an HS Series projector, a 10-foot image needs under 4 feet of throw. On a Jazz at 0.46:1 the same image needs about 4.6 feet. Both are close enough that the projector sits in the room, not behind the audience.
