Product Description
The Terra Transmitter sits at the source end of an AV-over-IP system, encoding content for transport across a 10G network without the compression artifacts or delay of conventional streaming. Video is uncompressed, except for 4K/60 formats (8-bit 4:4:4, 10-bit 4:2:2, 10-bit and 12-bit 4:2:0), which use an artifact-free, ultra-lightweight 1.3-to-1 compression ratio. One switchable input accepts HDMI 2.0a or DisplayPort 1.2 up to 4096x2160 at 60Hz, with HDR, 3D, and Deep Color pass-through. On-board processing handles color space, bit depth, and frame rate conversion plus broadcast-quality scaling in both directions. Audio support spans analog stereo via 3.5mm input and HDMI-embedded multi-channel PCM, Dolby TrueHD, and DTS-HD Master Audio. Routable RS-232, bidirectional IR, USB 2.0 (for KVM), and 1000BaseT Ethernet extend control alongside the video. Content rides a 10G SFP+ link with AES 128-bit encryption, and a 10GBASE-SR SFP+ transceiver for OM3/OM4 multimode fiber is supplied.
