Product Overview
The Christie Link Transmitter (144-117100-01) carries high-bandwidth video — up to 4K at 120Hz — over a single fiber cable for distances up to 6.2 miles (10 km), feeding the signal directly into a Christie projector without latency or compression. It removes the need for a powered receiver box at the projector, since compatible projectors accept the fiber feed natively through their input card. The result is a simpler, more reliable signal path between the control position and the projection position. It is designed to work hand-in-hand with Christie Boxer projectors.
Product Description
Long cable runs are one of the most common failure points in large-venue projection. Christie Link addresses this by converting source signals to a full-bandwidth point-to-point fiber feed supporting up to 40 Gbit/s on a single cable, preserving uncompressed image quality regardless of distance. The onboard receiver concept is inverted: instead of installing and powering a separate receiver near the projector, the fiber plugs straight into the projector's input (such as the Christie HBMIC card), simplifying rigging and removing a powered device from the truss. Link manages EDIDs across the entire system, which keeps sources, transmitter, and projector negotiating reliably. Each transmitter is network-addressable, so operators can configure the unit and monitor connection status and the attached projector remotely. Multiple Link transmitters can be deployed together to drive blended, stacked, or tiled multi-projector arrays. For staging companies and fixed installs alike, it shortens load-in time and reduces points of failure between video village and the projector.
Key Features
- 4K 120Hz over Fiber — sends high-frame-rate, high-resolution signals without compression or added latency.
- 10 km Reach — single-fiber transmission up to 6.2 miles between source and projector.
- 40 Gbit/s Bandwidth — full point-to-point fiber capacity on one cable.
- Direct-to-Projector Input — no remote receiver to mount or power near the projector.
- System-Wide EDID Management — keeps the entire signal chain handshaking reliably.
- Network Monitoring — configure and check transmitter, connection, and projector status remotely.
- Scales to Multi-Projector Arrays — use multiple Links for blended, stacked, or tiled configurations.
- Boxer Series Integration — engineered to pair with Christie Boxer projectors.
Typical Applications
Christie Link suits large-venue projection where the source equipment is far from the projector: arenas and stadium shows, projection mapping on buildings, theme park attractions, planetariums, and broadcast or rental staging environments running Boxer-class projectors. See projectors and input cards that pair with Link in our Christie Digital collection.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a receiver box at the projector?
No. The fiber feed connects directly to a compatible projector input, such as the Christie High Bandwidth Multi-Input Card, eliminating a separate powered receiver.
How many transmitters do I need for a blended array?
One Link per projector feed; multiple Links can be combined for blended, stacked, or tiled multi-projector systems.
Is the signal compressed over the fiber run?
No. Link transmits uncompressed video up to 4K 120Hz with no added latency.
Can I monitor the system remotely?
Yes. Each transmitter is networkable, letting you configure it and view both connection status and the attached projector without physical access.
