Product Overview
The Christie Hedra Pro-KVM (176-003104-01) is a KVM-enabled video wall processor that arranges, views, and manages up to 18 inputs, sources, and streams with latency-free operation on video walls up to 48MP. Its TAA-compliant, Linux-based embedded hardware platform is purpose-built for secure, mission-critical environments. Integrated KVM lets operators control up to 14 sources directly from the wall — point the mouse at a source and the keyboard follows. Creation Networks configures Hedra systems as part of the Christie Digital range.
Product Description
Hedra Pro-KVM is built on a real-time architecture rather than a general-purpose PC, eliminating the OS vulnerabilities and latency of software-based processors. Hardware scaling with bilinear filtering preserves video quality as sources are resized across the canvas. The processor drives up to four UHD displays and supports wall configurations up to 4x4, 8x2, 6x4, or 12x2 (48MP) with the additional output license. Fourteen USB Type-B KVM interfaces give multiple operators fully integrated keyboard, video, and mouse control over connected sources. Hybrid input handling accepts both direct HDMI sources and IP-based streams, and Freestyle Mode allows inputs to be freely overlapped, scaled, and positioned anywhere on the wall. Administration is handled on-screen, via API for remote control systems, or through touch panel support, and power redundancy options support 24/7 operation in control rooms and mobile command centers.
Key Features
- 18 Inputs, Integrated KVM — arrange and operate up to 18 sources, with 14 USB Type-B KVM connections for direct source control.
- Secure TAA-Compliant Platform — Linux-based embedded hardware avoids the attack surface of PC-based processors.
- Real-Time, Ultra-Low Latency — purpose-built architecture keeps source interaction immediate for operators.
- Walls up to 48MP — drives four UHD displays standard; output license extends to 4x4, 8x2, 6x4, or 12x2 configurations.
- Hardware Scaling — bilinear filtering maintains image quality when sources are resized or repositioned.
- Freestyle Mode — overlap, scale, and position any input anywhere on the canvas.
- Hybrid Inputs — accepts HDMI sources and IP-based streams in the same layout.
- 24/7 Reliability — power redundancy capability for continuous-duty control room operation.
- Flexible Control — on-screen administration, API for control system integration, and touch panel support.
Typical Applications
Hedra Pro-KVM serves small to mid-sized control rooms, security operations centers, network operations centers, mobile command centers, and operator workspace consoles where multiple displays, keyboards, and mice need consolidation. Its TAA compliance makes it suitable for government and defense procurement, and its low-latency KVM design fits utilities, transportation, and public safety monitoring.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does Hedra Pro-KVM differ from Hedra Standard and Pro-Video?
Pro-KVM combines the larger 18-input capacity and 48MP wall support with 14 KVM connections. Hedra Standard handles nine inputs on 16MP canvases with 7 KVM ports, while Pro-Video maximizes input count (27) without the full KVM complement. Creation Networks can match the right model to your operator count and wall size.
Can it integrate with our existing control system?
Yes. The API supports remote control from third-party control systems, and touch panel support allows operator-facing layout switching without console access.
Is it suitable for government procurement?
The platform is TAA-compliant and built on embedded Linux hardware with a reduced attack surface, making it appropriate for secure government, defense, and critical infrastructure projects.
What does installation involve?
Hedra is a turnkey appliance: connect HDMI/IP sources, cable the displays, and configure layouts through on-screen administration. Creation Networks provides system design, commissioning, and post-sale support — request a quote to scope your control room.
